Welcome to WrestlingMania's RPG Forum.
Within this folder, you will be able to compete against other fellow posters. You must first choose a wrestling personality to control from any genre in wrestling history. Since the existing character has already gained recognition from real-life events, it is not necessary to build their attributes or anything of that nature in this game. Depending on your chosen wrestler/manager, you may end up putting on a dream match of some sort.
There is a "Stat" thread where all poster's win/loss/tie records are shown and how they were defeated. Also be aware that a 'wrestling' match is not always necessary to compete with your opponents. If you propose a different style of competition such as a debate or trivia, you will also be marked down as having a win/loss.
Please do not pick fights/make challenges outside your respective brand's feud thread unless given permission from myself to do so. If granted, it will be only for PPV purposes and a seperate 'call out' thread will be created specifically for that match. The opponent will be given a fair amount of time before the thread is closed and deleted if he/she does not comply.
Again, don't worry about setting up matches/feuds. I will make sure they are posted if you plan on having a PPV bout. Use the 'feud thread' to start storylines with other opponents.
There will also be a history thread which will link the each completed PPV to another thread where it reveals the results on that night.
If you are a new member or not a World/WWE Champion, please PM me to re-register your character. Dibs for each wrestler is on a first come-first serve level.
Gameplay:
The game will function on a set of rules and damage attacks similar to an RPG. Moves can be excuted if the poster answers a trivia question correctly. The trivia will be randomly selected from wrestling's history. Between the people fighting, the first person to strike in the match will be whomever answers the quickest in their match.
Ie; Undertaker vs. HHH
Question: Name a member of WWE's stable, 'The Cabinet'.
HHH posts: Danny Basham
HHH is the quickest to answer and is granted the first move.
Afterwards, that same person will be given the next question to answer. If he/she answers that correctly, they can perform another manoeuvre considering the move choice they have. If they don't answer correctly, the opponent will get a chance to perform a move. It will then be the opponent's chance to answer a question and perform a move.
**Remember, a superstar can only perform a move if they answer a question correctly or if the other wrestler answers incorrectly. When I ask a wrestler to give a response to the question, they must provide an answer immediately. If not,
it will be considered as incorrect and the opponent will be able to perform another
move.
***A superstar can have no more than two turns at a time considering the circumstances, and most matches will usually play out in a 'my turn, your turn' style***
1. Each superstar begins with 100 HP(Health Points)
2. Only generic moves can be executed until the superstar is at or below 85 health points.
3. High Flying ,submission, slam, and heavy-striking manoeuvres can be used by a superstar once their opponent's HP is at or below 85 points.
4. Trademark manoeuvres can be performed by a superstar once their opponent's HP is at or below 55 points.
5. Finishers can be performed by a superstar if their opponent's HP is at or below 35 points.
6. If a superstar has beaten their opponent down to 0 HP, he/she will be asked if they want to pin the superstar. If they choose to continue with the violence, I will state a trivia question he/she must answer.
-If the superstar who is leading answers the trivia question correctly, he/she can perform any move they wish. They must answer a question every time they want to perform another move.
-If the superstar is wrong, the opponent will be given an extra 10 HP points. With that, the superstar will also have the ability to perform any move as long as it does not exceed 20 damage points. So it's very risky to continue punishment instead of covering your opponent.
Damage Points are what hurt your opponent and take away their HP. Each move has damage points, and all moves with their effect can be seen in the 'RPG Manoeuvres' thread.
7. Wrestlers can only pin/perform pinning manoeuvres once their opponent's HP is at or below 35. If a superstar performs a pinning move, the opponent will have to correctly answer a question to kick out of the pin.
Please study the rules carefully. It may seem confusing at first, but it will all make sense if you put in the effort to understand. The posters who truly make an effort to play the game will have a greater chance of getting title shots, simply because they are the ones who will support the RPG. Of course, 'wins' are what ultimately decide if you're fit for a championship.
As long as I'm here, I'll make sure that this RPG sticks around. Your mission is to increase your stat points until you are eligable for a title shot. All titles are currently vacant.
All matches will be confirmed and hosted by a PPV every week or two. Although the PPV may start on a certain day, the event itself can stretch into a week of competition to accomodate posters who aren't online at the same time. The difference between this RPG and the previous one is that you, your opponent(s), and myself must all come to an agreement when the match will take place.
Please do not create a thread to make notice of this, PM me and your adversary. Once the match has been confirmed for a date, I will create a PPV thread promoting the event, displaying various things such as past history of the poster and pictures of their superstar. If a poster does not arrive to their match on time, the other superstar will win the match by default. Of course, if both are away, the match may be held off, or cancelled.
Thank you, and enjoy the forum!
