The lights adjust, and the drilling chords of "Nothing" by A kick into gear throughout the arena. A tall, freakishly muscular competitor walks through the curtain, accompanied by a man in a black sweater and suit jacket. The wrestler holds the ropes open for his manager, who takes a mic on enterting the ring.
The Headliner:
"Ladies and gentlemen - do not be alarmed. You are encouraged to remain calm and in your seats, as you are in no immediate danger. The threat posed by the machine you see before you, currently bears no target. But that could change at less than a moment's notice, so you are advised not to make any sudden movements.
"This man is Nathan Wolfe. He is not your friend. Learn that right now, and we'll all be better off. Nathan Wolfe does not have friends. He has only enemies. In fact, he has a locker room full of them back there, behind that curtain. But understandably, they're all a little reluctant to announce themselves to his face. I don't blame them for a second, not one bit - because this man, the Jersey Devil, does not play well with others. Like other people try to make more friends, Nathan Wolfe is always putting in the effort to make more enemies - why? Because it gives him another excuse to inflict more pain and suffering on his fellow man.
"And it is for that reason, that everyone in this arena should hope and pray that someone back there is man enough to step out here and make a challenge. Because without an enemy at hand, the Jersey Devil will try and make some new ones out here in this very crowd. And when Nathan Wolfe makes an enemy of you, you suddenly find yourself in very real, and very immediate, danger."
