Favorite Disney Songs
« on: June 12, 2003, 11:48:22 PM »

Well, this will kill off the remaining part of the "darkness" aura I have. :-/

I'm actually a fan of most their (Disney's) music, but my favorites are from the two best Disney films ever.

Any song from Aladdin or The Lion King.

There's some others, but those are the main ones.

  • So, how's that working out for you Kraul? Got any new favs? This thread was such a hit, I thought I'd bring it back.

Into what vortex did I slip seven years ago that I missed this thread? I love Disney songs.

The Lion King will always be the supreme Disney movie for me, and the music's a big part of that. The Circle of Life, Can You Feel The Love Tonight, Hakuna Matata, and I Just Can't Wait To Be King are all blow-away classics, and although Be Prepared isn't quite as hard hitting (because of its style) it's just as great. Scar is awesome.

    Other favorites of mine are:

You'll Be In My Heart from Tarzan,
Colors Of The Wind from Pocahontas,
Candle On The Water from Pete's Dragon,
A Whole New World and Prince Ali from Aladdin,
The title song from Beauty And The Beast,
The title song from Puff The Magic Dragon,
King Of The Swingers and The Bare Necessities from The Jungle Book,
Kiss The Girl from The Little Mermaid,
Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious and Chim Chim Cheree from Mary Poppins,
When I See An Elephant Fly from Dumbo,
and of course Ugly Bug Ball.

I've also got a soft spot for Never Smile At A Crocodile from Peter Pan and We Are Siamese from Lady And The Tramp, which we sang in our final Christmas performance in primary school along with Following The Leader (from Peter Pan), King Of The Swingers and Zippity Doo Dah.

  • The first post comes off like a post from another conversation that was pulled out and turned into a thread. :-/

It's still the same, though. Anything from Aladdin or The Lion King.

  • I only found this thread from playing Hangman. But, heck, who else has some favs? I actually think the Lion King is probably the best overall sound track. But, Ariel had a nice voice too.

If counts, which it should, I'll also mention the Gummi Bears theme. Hell yeah!

  • That one "Let's get down to business" song from Mulan. I got into a car wreck with some friends listening to that song. We were all so pumped that we drove right off the road.  :-/

  • I'm guessing that part of the story is glossed over from time to time.

  • Not so much my favorite songs but I know all the songs from A Goofy Movie. I tend to sing along when I watch it as its so catchy.

I would say Lion King and Jungle Book have some of my favorites.

If we are counting theme songs from shows I could go on forever with favorites
