A certain amount of activity in this Computers forum involves the requesting of programs, such as games. However, one of the terms and conditions that come with the hosting of this Web site is that it must not contain reference to illegal warez sources or material. Therefore, direct linking to copyrighted programs or related websites is not allowed.
It is probably unlikely that any authorities would ever find out about warez linking here, but I would really rather not take that chance. WX has cost me enough money to set up already, so the last thing I want is a hefty fine due to someone else's file-swapping.
As the technical owner of this site, I cannot encourage such activities, but in a hypothetical situation, if I were a poster seeking information on where to find a certain piece of software, I would contact somebody by e-mail and ask them privately, instead of posting the request on WX. Any warez links will be removed from posts, so it really would be more efficient to discuss the matter away from the boards. But again, that is a purely hypothetical scenario - I couldn't possibly condone the breaking of copyright.

This notice also concerns linking to MP3 or other files containing copyrighted media/multimedia material, or Web pages which distribute such files.
