Not strictly speaking an entertainment in itself, but it aids my entertainment.. I bought an electronic tower fan for my bedroom as it gets amazingly hot in here when I have both my Xbox and my computer on.

A good listener tries to understand what the other person is saying. In the end he may disagree sharply, but because he disagrees, he wants to know exactly what it is he is disagreeing with.

  • Lego Harry Potter years 1-4.

Lego games are actually pretty good.

They are. I'm not interested in Harry Potter, but I really enjoyed the Lego Star Wars games and Lego Batman's a regular fixture on my DS. Lego Indiana Jones didn't strike me so much, partly because I'm not overly familiar with the films it was based on, and partly because even for fans there aren't as many strong, famous characters to fill out the cast.

The Lego games are best when played with someone else. Not to mention it makes the grinding often necessary to collect studs a little more tolerable. :D

Lego Batman was fun but I think I burned myself out by getting it 100% complete (including achievements). I haven't touched it since, and I only had it for three days by that point. :-/

So "DC Universe" is actually used as a brand now on things like Batman DVDs? What was wrong with just sticking the DC logo on there?

  • You'd have to ask Purps that question. My guess is it's a new attitude towards how they're so heavily featured in mediums other than just comics...

Maybe Vince McMahon could help explain it.

Meanwhile, in the second half of this post!

It isn't listed in the subtitle, but damn it, I'm counting books as an entertainment purchase. I haven't purchased them yet (they're on another tab as I type), but I'm about to buy:

All three are books I've been interested in reading but I always forget about them when cruising around Amazon and I've never happened across any of them in stores (except the Death of WCW which I saw years ago on a shelf when I was broke).

In a similar vein, I'm picking up a DVD I forgot all about and wanted but didn't want to pay the full price when I saw it on the shelf a few months ago:

It's going to be some wrestling gossip overload for me, holy wow.

Both DC and Marvel have used the term "Universe" to describe their company/comic stories for decades. When DC started to produce movies and figures etc they just added the word as a marketing tool. Basically doing what Kraul said.

I just bought one of the greatest movies of all-time for $0.58 on Amazon ($3.56 after shipping and handling)...
