Do you know anyone in the war?
« on: March 23, 2003, 05:32:54 AM »

If you know anyone serving in the military involved with the conflict going on, put their first name and their branch of service here as a small way to pay tribute to them.....here's mine....

Matt.... Marines
Jeremy...Air Force
Jarrod... Marines
Jason..... Army
Kip... Army
Mike...Army
Kyle....Army
Josh...Navy

These kids practically grew up under my feet... in fact, the first one DID.... he's mine...I'm so proud of these men ( I don't know how they managed to grow up so fast...) I can't begin to explain it....

Damn, I had no clue you had that much people you are attatched to involved in this war. I now know just how nerve racking this war might be for you. :(

My friend's brother, Scott, is in the Air Force. He's not involved yet, but you never know.

Kinda explains why I'm so damn touchy about the subject of war, huh? These kids grew up here, pretty much... they all gave ME flowers when they graduated from high school and even put an ad in our local paper... thanking me for always being there for them....that's why I am so easily upset over some war discussion... it's like ALL my kids are there... and the oldest is only 26....puts a little different spin on my outrage, huh?

Let me tell you... I am so proud of these guys... I had a big lighted wreath  with the American flag on it in my picture window in the living room with all these kids' pictures around it..and they're one fine lookin' group of men...I am one damn proud old woman.. and scared to death for my guys....

"Picture a weasel -- and most of us can do that, for we have met that little demon of destruction, that small atom of insensate courage, that symbol of slaughter, sleeplessness, and tireless, incredible activity -- picture that scrap of demoniac fury, multiply that mite some fifty times, and you have the likeness of a Wolverine." Ernest Thompson Seton, 1909
