Still running ME I see. That's short for Messenger Service and it's required by both XP (except in XP, it doesn't cause errors) and ME. There's no way to fix it that I can explain in english. It'll all be in uber-geek and you probably don't want to decipher uber-geek on top of everything. So no, there is no way to fix it besides getting XP (or longhorn if you have a broadband connection, but that's a whole different story).
