Randy Savage.

If it wasn't for Hulk Hogan, I think Randy would have been the man to carry the ball in the WWF at that time. Some of his matches are classics as far as wrestling goes. Some of his storylines had me glued to the screen like no other superstar could. His charisma, stamina and all around talent spoke for itself.
Randy Savage is a true legend. The very first time I saw Randy was in a now defunct indie federation called "atlantic grad prix wrestling."
He didn't wrestle or anything like that. As a matter of fact he only appeared once. He appeared in the corner of his brother,Lanny Pofo.
He did a small promo with his brother, and even then I saw something in him. Lanny was the main event in this small federation. Even though Randy wasn't a full time wrestler at that time, it wasn't hard to see that he had that "IT" factor.  He even over shadowed his brother during this small promo.

My first vote- Randy Savage.

My second vote- Bobby Heenan. If you watched WWF during his run as manager/announcer back in the day,I shouldn't have to say anymore.

Well, I'm gonna throw in my two votes, before going away for a bit.

-Macho Man Randy Savage
This man is the reason why I love wrestling.  If it weren't for Randy Savage, there would be no SavageRulz.  Mach is simply one of the greatest ever to lace up a pair of boots.  The man is Icon, an Immortal, a wrestling god.  His larger than life persona and over the top attire make him one of the most recognizable figures the sport has ever seen.  But his skills between the ropes are what make him a legend.  Savage was a high flyer before high flying was cool.  He was the original underdog: the smaller guy who seemed to take a wrong turn into the land of the giants.  However, Savage made sure never to be upstaged, even Hulk Hogan himself lost heat when he opposed Savage.  Mounted on my wall behind me as I type this, is an original 1989 mint condition Randy Savage poster with him wearing the old WWF Championship title.  I look at that poster everyday and every time I see it I'm more inspired to pursue my dream.  That poster fuels me to follow my heart and try my hand at professional wrestling.  Randy Savage is my idol, he's my inspiration.  Like I said, without him, there would be no me.  He's impacted me that much.

-Ric Flair
Ric Flair is the greatest World Heavyweight Champion of all time, there is no doubt about that.  He defined an era of professional wrestling no one before him had.  He made the NWA, and he made WCW.  Flair's a master of manipulation, a true to heart heel.  The man is shrewd.  He's the absolute top of the heap.  There's no denying all the contributions he's made to this sport.  In fact, it can be argued that Ric Flair was more valuable to wrestling than Hulk Hogan.  But that's a different thread altogether!  For now, I'll just throw in my nomination for the Nature Boy (no, not Buddy Rogers!)...WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
