Jackal and his crazy buddies get together and write cascading stylesheets all weekend.

My soon-to-be brother in law is into WoW and I've been cajoled into playing a few times, but the command-based battle system just isn't for me. I prefer more direct control over the action, where each button press is a swipe of my sword or whatever.

I remember in school Runescape randomly became popular and I played it for ages then realised I don't actually enjoy it and it's boring as fuck.  I went back for another try a few times after because it's free and all when I was really bored but it always ended the same.

After you've spent all that time getting your levels up and shit, did quests and whatever, what are you meant to do then?

Well, I am PvP so getting the 80 is only the start once there its about getting the gear with good gear rating other wise in the arena you will get dominated. I enjoy that way more then the quest that seem to never end. Also Cat drops soon and that changes everything totally revamps almost the whole game. There is way more to WoW then there is most MMO's

CSS is Counter-Strike Source, the latest version of Counter-Strike. I only bought it about a month ago since I have a new laptop.. before that I used to play Counter-Strike 1.6, but my last computer was shit and always used to reboot on me.

A good listener tries to understand what the other person is saying. In the end he may disagree sharply, but because he disagrees, he wants to know exactly what it is he is disagreeing with.

My buddy is all about counter strike source he plays it a lot. It seems all my friends now are gamers and drinkers so we game and drink and thats are idea of fun. I like these parties better then ones where swords are being wielded and the cops are coming

Does this new gizmo tickle your fancy, Slippy?

    Panasonic unveil portable MMO player

Electronics manufacturer Panasonic has unveiled a new handheld gaming device called the Jungle, which appears to be aimed primarily at massively multiplayer online game fans.

The idea that a major electronics firm would suddenly launch a new portable console completely out of the blue seems almost absurd, but that's exactly what's happened with the Jungle.

Panasonic has created a whole new business unit to oversee the system, which looks like a cross between a Nintendo DS and a miniature laptop. The clam-shell design features a QWERTY keyboard, a touchpad, two D-pads and shoulder buttons.

In terms of inputs there's a micro USB port, mini-HDMI port, and a headphone jack. Allegedly the system runs the Linux operating system, although this hasn't been confirmed by Panasonic yet.

The only games mentioned so far are the browser-based RuneScape and Battlestar Galactica, so it's not clear if the Jungle will run more complex titles such as World Of WarCraft. In fact no other games have been mentioned at all yet, just some Web shows and some sort of music creation package.

We don't know who convinced Panasonic this was all a good idea, but if you're curious you can check out the official website here.

The 3DO had an excellent version of Road Rash.

Which was then ported to the PC so I could play it.
