The Taker/Kane stuff has been great so I hope they keep the standard up.

While I agree with WWE that having Taker be the one to permanently unmask Kane would have been a better story than Triple H doing it, trying to pretend that's how it happened now is locking the stable door after the horse has already bolted. It's unnecessary to lie about their past in what has otherwise been a terrific angle, and that glaring inconsistency saps the immersion right out of it because it reminds you that this is
not the epic saga that Kane recalls on the mic, but instead a retconning of a directionless gimmick by writers who plan from one PPV to the next and expect their audience to have a memory even shorter.
Take out that fly in the ointment and I'm still loving this feud, but it's so irritating that they felt the need to patronize the fans and undermine the whole angle with this pointless "historical photoshopping" of one of the defining moments in the Big Red Machine's career. What are we going to have next? Brother Love returning to help his son Kane? Clips of Kane winning his first WWE Title in a TLC match? As long as it "enhances" the current storyline it's all fair game, right? Just pretend you don't remember.
