Update on Sean Waltman's Health
« on: May 28, 2010, 06:52:28 PM »

Quote
From Mark and WrestlingObserver.com: X-Pac was on the Cowhead show down here in Tampa (same show where Bubba and Kong had their infamous showdown) and he admitted to having Hepatitis C (reason he missed the TNA PPV he "no-showed") and also talked about a suicide attempt in Mexico that Ryan Shamrock saved him after.

Oh man. Poor guy. Wonder if Chyna has it too?

  • Yeah, I knew that.

But it's not spread through sexual contact very often. It's mostly spread through sharing needles, which brings us to our next issue. If he still has this problem, which is likely, as mean as it might sound, TNA needs to sever ties with him immediately.

If he harms himself or someone else while associated with them, they're going to take a lot of heat.

I doubt it.  This is the league that did sign someone the day that he was officially charges with possession and plan to distribute drugs

How were you not expecting this? He's tried to kill himself loads of times and he's a druggy. He's an idiot.

  • Cowboy Bob Orton tested positive for hepatitis (I'm not sure which variant) and The Undertaker was furious when he found out this had been kept from him, during a feud with Randy that saw his father bleed during a Hell in a Cell match. Bob was released shortly after.

If a wrestler has a disease that can be contracted through contact with blood, then continuing to wrestle is very dangerous for his fellow athletes. You never know when someone's going to get busted open the hard way. As much as it sucks for Waltman, I won't be surprised at all if TNA don't bring him back.

  • I honestly don't think that TNA is that dumb. If they did use him again and something happened like him bleeding, there would be a huge lawsuit. No way they would risk that. Thus, we have Eric Young in the band.
