I've been wanting to watch Rescue Me for some time now but I haven't even got round to finishing The Sopranos yet and I've been on the same episode in Season 5 for about a month =/

A good listener tries to understand what the other person is saying. In the end he may disagree sharply, but because he disagrees, he wants to know exactly what it is he is disagreeing with.

True Blood.

Although, to be fair to the rest of the entertainment world, True Blood is the only thing I've watched in full this week.

I watched most of Paranormal Activity, then got bored and skipped a half hour to get to the end. I watched half of Schindler's List. Watched Punk's Raw promo. And I tried watching TNA (lost interest mid-Flair promo).

Not exactly a week of strong competition. Even so, True Blood was still awesome. Next week and then the weeks after the week after are going to be a cold void I'm thinking...

Best thing I watched this week?

Sure as hell wasn't True Blood, Entourage, or Weeds. Stupid fucking Labor Day!

I know we have a few days left so it might change, but Sons of Anarchy is awesome. May be the best show on TV.

I am just now starting season one of "Sons." Hopefully I'm all caught up soon.

Doctor Who- Blink. Very awesome episode, I had forgotten how much I liked this particular outing.

That was a great episode. I was so annoyed with myself for missing the return of the Weeping Angels in the latest season.

  • You didn't miss much. One of my favourite things about the angels was how they 'killed you', by transporting you back in time and feeding on your potential energy or whatever it was. But now when they get you, from what I could work out they vapourise your body like a dalek and just your skeleton is left on the floor.

It's possible that the same thing happens and the skeleton is left because they've gone back in time and got old and died and now they're a skeleton, but that doesn't make sense because there were no skeletons in the first weeping angels episode. And there wouldn't be a skeleton that soon anyway, if you die the moment you got killed (as in, go back, live your life, and die at the same moment you got taken) then you wouldn't be a skeleton you'd be a fresh corpse.

OH, and you saw them moving. I always thought it was clever that we never saw them move because it was like WE were watching them, almost like we were in the episode, which is why they only moved when the screen went dark. But in this episode because the character is blinded, we see them moving all slowly and lamely.

So the new episode took all the mystery out of it and took away my favourite bit about them, so they not my favourite monsters anymore.

    The second season is amazing.

Glad I didn't waste my time watching it on iPlayer then.

One thing you should go on there for if you didn't see it tonight though is Peggy Mitchell's departure from Eastenders. Apart from the live episode a few months ago, I hadn't sat down and watched the show in years and years, but this was just phenomenal. Very, very well done, and highly recommended to anyone who's ever had even the vaguest passing interest in the occupants of Albert Square. Probably everyone else too.

  • So for those that follow, what did you guys think of the True Blood finale?

I thought it was pretty good, considering that season two started this awful trend where the first half of the season is good and then the quality drops off while you're working toward the payoff. It was by no means spectacular, but way better than what I had expected.

I actually have it loaded up in another window and have for about two days now. Still haven't had the energy or time to sit down and watch it.

Also kind of don't want to because I know it's the last new True Blood experience I'm going to get for a long time. :(

  • True Blood finale was fun, just like the rest of the series. There are some characters that annoy me to no end, and some characters I wish they would feature more prominently. It's just mediocre fun, and that's enough to keep me watching for now. The finale didn't blow me away.

  • Not having HBO and waiting until the DVD set comes out, I have not seen True Blood. So, once again, I say Sons of Anarchy was the best thing I watched this week.
