You didn't miss much. One of my favourite things about the angels was how they 'killed you', by transporting you back in time and feeding on your potential energy or whatever it was. But now when they get you, from what I could work out they vapourise your body like a dalek and just your skeleton is left on the floor.
It's possible that the same thing happens and the skeleton is left because they've gone back in time and got old and died and now they're a skeleton, but that doesn't make sense because there were no skeletons in the first weeping angels episode. And there wouldn't be a skeleton that soon anyway, if you die the moment you got killed (as in, go back, live your life, and die at the same moment you got taken) then you wouldn't be a skeleton you'd be a fresh corpse.
OH, and you saw them moving. I always thought it was clever that we never saw them move because it was like WE were watching them, almost like we were in the episode, which is why they only moved when the screen went dark. But in this episode because the character is blinded, we see them moving all slowly and lamely.
So the new episode took all the mystery out of it and took away my favourite bit about them, so they not my favourite monsters anymore.
