  • I keep seeing stars interviewed and they keep talking about werewolves but I try not to listen much because I don't want it spoiled if I can help it.

  • It's very good this season, I'm so glad they aren't messing this up.

True Blood is always the default best thing I've watch "this week".

It's not like it has strong competition, though. As far as full length shows/movies go, I only watch True Blood, TNA Impact (and assorted other wrestling things), and the occasional movie.

I still have a few more episodes of Breaking Bad to finish from last season, oh and IMDB completely spoiled the season finale of Friday Night Lights for me, which I'm still three episodes away from. Teach me to get on there to see how many episodes were in the season.  :shake:

  • I just saw last night's episode of True Blood and this wins for this week. Possibly the entire month of August just for the last five-ten minutes alone.

The ending was easily the best ending I've seen from the series  (as in the entire True Blood series, not just this season) yet.

  • I just finished the latest season of Breaking Bad. Holy shit, this is the best show on TV right now, hands down.

So, I have really been getting into a new show called Covert Affairs. It was created by the people that did the Bourne Movies. It comes on the USA network and stars Piper Perabo and Christopher Gorham. It's basically about Annie Walker, a 28-year-old CIA trainee who is suddenly promoted to field operative. She does not know that one of the reasons she was promoted early was to try and help capture her ex-boyfriend who was also a CIA agent that has gone off grid. At the time she dated him, she was not an agent and did not know he was in the CIA. Week to week you see her going through the beginning stages of become a CIA field agent. I know I'm not making it sound as good as it is, but I highly recommend this show especially if you like spy based stories.

Oh I know. I've been laughing about it ever since. I've watched it on YouTube countless times over the last week.

True Blood was awesome again this week.

Does anyone watch Rescue Me? My sister keeps recommending it, but I don't usually like the shows she watches...

The first two seasons are pure gold. The third season is still good, and then it goes into a heavy decline. It sucks now. It sucks really, really bad. I still watch because I like Denis Leary.

  • I was hoping to be able to say "Last of the Summer Wine" in here, as it was the final episode of a gentle sitcom that's been running on British screens for over 30 years. But tonight's finale was a big letdown. It was just another episode (and not a particularly good one), with nothing about it to suggest that the series had come to an end. No closure, no big send-off, no acknowledgement of the occasion. Not even a sly nudge or a wink. If you hadn't heard the news you'd be well entitled to expect another episode at the same time next week. Such a long-running institution was shrugged off without the excuse of being suddenly axed - everyone knew going in that this was the last season. Huge disappointment.

So, after a summer of watching, I've finally finished Friday Night Lights. Fan, you were right about this show, I do really love it and when something happens to the characters, I feel like it is happening to me.

Even with the budget cuts and whatnot after season two and the loss of crucial characters, the show still finds a way to keep me entertained and enthralled by what they are doing. I'm taking a TV studies class this semester and I think I'm going to use this series as a subject for one of my essays, because over the past few years, I've only really enjoyed HBO/Showtime/FX shows, so when a network show comes along and is actually on the same level as the "pay" channels, I feel obligated to spread the word.

Next up is Rescue Me, Dead Like Me, then who the hell knows?
