TNA Impact - Feb 18th 2010
« on: February 20, 2010, 07:16:31 AM »

This was a night of great promos.

The Hogan/Abyss segment was FANTASTIC in all its cheesiness, and I was just waiting for the Dungeon of Doom to show up. Super Abyss with all the power of Hulkamania vested in his magically powered Hall of Fame ring is an amazing angle.

Thumbs up for the Angle/Anderson promo too, for all the right reasons. Kurt sold the emotion while Anderson continued to be the most dickish heel in wrestling. He has become magnificent in this role since joining TNA.

Kevin Nash also delivered the goods on the mic, but the highlight of this "main event" was what it degenerated into once The Band showed up. Did you see the shots Eric Young was laying in on Syxx-Pac? Wow, I've never seen him brawl like that before.

It was good to see Big Rob Terry finally turning on the British Invasion, after it had been put on the backburner since before last month's European tour. At least now they can move forward with it instead of seemingly brushing it under the rug.

The low point of the night was two and a half minutes dedicated to a random Knockouts video package set to generic music. Then there came another random "look how good TNA is" video later on. I understand they want to introduce the audience to things they haven't had time to fit on the show, but there has to be a less tedious way of doing it.
