Rated-R Return!
First Edge shocked the WWE Universe, winning Royal Rumble. Then he speared WWE Champion Sheamus on Raw. Now he's is coming to SmackDown to host "The Cutting Edge," with special guest, World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker! What will unfold?

Raw Exclusive!
Tune in to SmackDown tonight to see exclusive footage that you didn't see on Raw, featuring John Cena and Batista.

The Cutting Edge should be good, and I'm glad they're making use of that post-RAW save from John Cena, which the crowd was demanding during Batista's beatdown on Bret Hart.

That has to be the best way I've ever seen of saying, "hey!  We fucked up, so to cover our asses, here's what we were supposed to show but didn't!"

Yeah.. that woulda been a nice touch on Raw, huh?

I only saw bits and pieces of SD and will watch the whole thing later today if I ever get home from work.. thanks to this fascinating snowstorm, I'll probably get stuck workin' 12 hours.. if I can even get to work in the first place..

I'm curious to see why Batista didn't want to be in the Elimination Chamber. Does he want to face someone else that night? John Cena's in the RAW Chamber, and he'll hardly be going one-on-one with Bret Hart.

Speaking of which, the recap videos from Monday night were great. I was thinking this the other day - the production team responsible for these videos are the unsung heroes of WWE. They really do such a phenomenal, world class job of taking any footage and presenting it in the best possible way, heightening the impact of whatever it's meant to achieve.

Nothing much else on the show held my attention, though I really liked the Mysterio/Ziggler match. I can't help but feel that Edge's return hasn't lived up to its potential. The comeback at the Royal Rumble was too big a repeat of Cena's in 2008, and lacked the same oomph. And instead of having eyes only on revenge against Jericho like we all wanted, he's instead caught up with a plate full of Sheamus and The Undertaker, with his old tag team partner being just a side order.

I agree.  Those dudes can make shit shine and look appetizing.  I'm constantly amazed how well they can make a really crappy RAW look awesome.  TNA seems to have that same gift as well.

This was my first Smackdown in who knows how long.  It's been years though and I really enjoyed the Divas segment.  It's so nice to actually see a bloomin' storyline for the women.  Why the fuck do the writers not do this for RAW?  It's mindblowing.

I would have to say Mysterio/Ziggler was the match of the night.  It really was quite good.

I missed Cena's return last year but I have to agree that Edge's return isn't really exciting me at all.  It's great to see him and all that, but there's no sense of thrill or excitement.  There really is no "oomph" as Heady said.

As for Batista, I know I should be excited about this point of suspense but I'm having trouble rousing my excitement over this.  Hopefully, it'll get better once it's developed more.

I agree.. Edge's return has fallen a little flat.. and I agree even more that revenge against Jericho should be the primary focus of his return..it's great to have him back and I think he and Chris have serious potential to put on some great matches.. Batista? Who knows what's going on with him.. Punk was entertaining as always..still looks like he needs a bath..

The rest of the show? It was okay..nothing really stands out to comment much on..Icky came out and caused me to have serious headache with her "I SAID EXCUSE ME" crap though... :D
