So what did everyone do/get?

I spent the day with my parents and a cousin I rarely see but came to stay. We dished out the presents, had our Christmas lunch, and over the course of the day took in some of the festive TV schedules.

I had to miss the beginning of Patrick Stewart's Christmas Carol for the end of The Wind in the Willows (although Matt Lucas plays a brilliant Toad), but watching the Deal or No Deal contestant getting 1p for the second Christmas in a row made up for it. Later we watched the first part of the Doctor Who special, which concludes on New Year's Day. It was a bit of a damp squib but it's not fair to judge till the second part.

Presents I got:

A "Weenicons" mug, with caricatures of The A-Team
A Cadbury selection box
Two tubes of Maltesers
A remote controlled flying UFO (batteries not included)
A guard alien that records and plays back sound
"Robin the Hoodie," a book spoofing classic English tales
The 2010 WWE calendar
The "Untold History..." book about the old NWA
A pair of handwarmer gel things that you bend to heat up
A torch keyring
A book of the early years of The Broons and Oor Wullie
Some other random book called "Joined Up Thinking"

Something else is to come still from my sister, when we go to visit her in the new year.

Also came the news that my elderly great aunt and uncle want me to take them to a local wrestling show in April, so they can see what the fuss is about. Fingers crossed that it's 100% family friendly.

I spent the majority of the day suffering from a hang over from Christmas eve drinks in town. I got a 2 shirts, aftershave, a wallet and money. I watched all the normal TV including the Queens Christmas speech, The Incredibles, Dr. Who, Corrie, Eastenders, Royal Family (brilliant) and Gavin and Stacey. Eaten a ridiculous amount this year looking forward to getting back in the gym!

My Mum bought the Royal Family box set just before Christmas so we've been making our way through that whilst crap TV has been on. We've progressed well as you'd have guessed.

I haven't posted on this site in what feels like AGES, but I figured, why not let the Christmas thread be my grand entrance?

I think I am alone in this, but I am extremely happy that the Holiday Season is over! Working at Best Buy during the months of November and December pretty much sucks!!

I got:
  • 120 GB PS3 bundled with Ratchet and Clank and Little Big Planet
  • Hangover on Blu Ray
  • Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire on Blu Ray
  • Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince on Blu Ray
  • A mess of clothes
  • A mess of Best Buy gift cards
  • A book called Patriot Reign by Michael Holley

Spoiled, I know...

I also have more coming in on 12/30, stupid USPS is slow in delivering my gifts from my Dad and Step-Mom

You are most definitely not alone in that feeling. I work at the cinema and it's pretty hectic around this time of year, but it's money, right? I'll be glad when it's back to normal though and all the kids are back in school.

A good listener tries to understand what the other person is saying. In the end he may disagree sharply, but because he disagrees, he wants to know exactly what it is he is disagreeing with.
