HPW 26/07/09 Results
« on: July 26, 2009, 11:27:48 AM »

Boston, Massachusetts

The HPW intro plays and we are welcomed to the show by Chad Fairfax and Doug Solomon.  Shots of wild screaming fans are shown as the pyro goes off throughout the arena drowning out the soundtrack.  Fairfax and Solomon discuss tonight’s card mentioning that we will have a world championship match between the new HPW world champion (Kenny Dior) and Micheal Bloodman.  They note that Dior was successful in beating Bloodman in a ladder match to become the champion but tonight he has to pin his powerful shoulders to the mat or make him submit to retain his title.  They emphasise how tough that will be to do and prepare us for our opening contest.

Julian Bosley vs. Illy Mustafa

The two men make their entrance with a mixed reaction for both guys.  It’s clear that Illy’s recent attitude has lost him a few fans but his loyal fanatics can still be heard supporting him.  Mustafa stretches his left leg as the referee is going over the rules for a final time.  He checks both men for foreign objects and then motions for the match to begin.

Bosley seems anxious to get his hands on Illy after his offensive verbal attack over the last week but Illy is careful not to get to close to the big man.  Each time Bosley lunges at Illy he is able to escape, and each time Bosley tries to box him in to the corner Illy is able to find an opening to get out of the way.  Bosley begins to fall into Illy’s trap as the pace slows down and he becomes more cautious to not make a mistake, knowing that Illy has taken advantage of people that have been to aggressive in the past.

Surprisingly Illy offers his hand in the air like he wants to match strength with Bosley, Bosley takes the opportunity but as they lock fingers Illy jumps in the air and wraps his legs around Bosley’s arm.  Illy is able to use the leverage to turn his body so he has a cross arm breaker locked in.  Bosley yells out in pain but tells the referee he doesn’t want to quit.  Bosley shows some of his agility and technical knowledge by being able to roll out and escape the arm bar, as he tries to make an offensive attack Illy pops his hips up and attempts to get a triangle choke, Bosley sees it from a mile away and swats Illy’s legs away.  Instead of trying to match Illy on the ground Bosley chooses to stand up and drop a big elbow on the chest of Mustafa.

Bosley powers Mustafa to his feet and forces him to the corner where he begins to slice away at his chest with some hard knife edge chops.  Out of desperation Mustafa goes for the eyes.  He bounces off the ropes and tries to hit a yakuza kick in the corner but Bosley catches his leg, lifts Mustafa up off the ground and slams him down hard.  Mustafa immediately rolls out of the ring to catch his breath, not allowing Bosley to gain any momentum.  The match continues for several more minutes with much of the same, Mustafa trying to lure Bosley into a scientific match up but Bosley being able to use his size and strength advantage to counter it.  Though each time Bosley gets Illy down to the mat, Illy rolls out to try regain control of the pace.

Bosley sets Illy up for the F5 but Illy is able to counter it with elbow strikes, stunning the big man.  Illy continues to hit elbow after elbow until Bosley drops to one knee.  Whilst behind Bosley Illy grabs his neck and delivers a devastating hangman’s neckbreaker.  He goes for the cover right away making sure to hook the leg.

“ONNNNNNNE

TWWWWOOOO

THREEEEEEEEE-!”

Bosley shows his toughness by kicking out at the last second.  Illy hesitates for a moment apparently deciding on his next move, he bounces off the ropes but as he approaches Bosley he gets thrown in the air with a big back body drop.  Bosley quickly moves to get on top of the former world champion but the referee stops him as Illy screams in agony whilst clutching his knee.  Illy rolls out of the ring but as he tries to stand on his feet he quickly falls down.  The referee follows him out to check on him as a disappointed Bosley stands in the ring.  The commentators note that Bosley is not a man that would like to win a match this way so he must be terribly disappointed.

The referee tries to motion for the match to be stopped but Mustafa stops him.  He yells at Redwood to not stop the match because he only needs a moment, then he’s going to go back in there and finish the match.  The two argue back and forth as Bosley looks concerned for his fellow wrestler’s well being.  Suddenly a man jumps the barricade and slides into the ring.  After a moment it’s clear that the man behind Bosley, stalking him, is John Slider.  As Bosley turns around he gets nailed with Slider’s finishing move, the KTFO.  Slider quickly escapes the ring and leaves through the crowd, the same way he came in.  Illy suddenly seems to have less problems with his knee as he now stands on his own accord.  Mustafa limps towards the apron and slides in.  He quickly crawls over to Julian Bosley and hooks his leg.

“ONNNNEE

TWWWOOO

THREEEEEE!”

“BOOOOOO!”

The referee looks confused at the result but has no choice but to raise Illy’s arm in victory.  The crowd who had a mixed reaction for Mustafa when he made his entrance is now completely against him for choosing to win that way.  Mustafa limps his way to the back as the commentators question whether or not he actually hurt his knee.

Winner:  Illy Mustafa by pinfall, 12:14.

We return backstage with Illy Mustafa and John Slider.  They seem to be celebrating Mustafa’s big win tonight when Otis Jones interrupts them.  Jones doesn’t look pleased to see Illy hanging out with Slider again and asks Illy why he decided to do that to Bosley.  Illy responds by telling Otis that what happened tonight was justice; Julian made people his victims which led to him getting in trouble with the law, him being locked up behind bars for a few weeks isn’t enough justice for the hurt he caused so tonight justice prevailed because he got a taste of his own medicine.  Otis says that he hard that Nacido hasn’t shown up to the arena yet and nobody has heard from him in days, he asks Slider if he has had anything to do with this like he did last time but Slider denies all allegations.  Illy scolds Otis and tells him he better stop worrying about everything else tonight and concentrate on his match with Trent Malik because he won’t tolerate him losing another match.  Slider and Mustafa leave Otis on his own staring at them as they walk away celebrating.

We cut back to ringside with Doug Solomon and Chad Fairfax where they mention that Chad was able to catch up with Rip Thomas earlier this week and this is what he had to say:

Rip Thomas Interview

The scene shows at Rip Thomas’ house somewhere in Indianapolis, Indiana, we see Thomas and Chad Fairfax beside him on the living room, Thomas is wearing a casual shirt and pants as he looks into the camera while talking to Fairfax

“Thomas, thank you for letting me do this interview”

“It’s always a pleasure Chad, I’d prefer you than your partner, What’s-His-Name”

“Thomas everyone wants to know, why did you attack McWilliam, aren’t you two are good friends”

“Chad, that’s what I’ve been hearing since McWilliam use my name at his interviews and let me tell you that I have no idea who is Andrew McWilliam and I have no idea who is Matt Gregor, my buddy Ashton told me that I’ve been mentioned in HPW since I quit after the first Race to the top, I told him why would I be mentioned in HPW?, and then I search the internet and sure enough I see McWilliam using my name, telling everyone that we are friends”

“So why did you comeback to HPW Rip?”

“See Chad, the day before HPW5, I got a call, I don’t who was it, but it seems as if they are threatening my family if I don’t show up at HPW, and you know Chad, I don’t want my family to get involved in my wrestling career, sure enough, I arrived at HPW5 and I see Matt Gregor standing in the entrance, he then sees me and force me to go help McWilliam, and then that’s how I get my revenge for McWilliam, as you can see Chad, it’s just me, you and the entire camera crew in this house right now, I sent my wife and kids to my parents house until I solved this McWilliam problem”

“So Rip are you really coming back to HPW”

“Chad to be honest I am just going to be here in HPW until I remove McWilliam from HPW for good, and then I will quit the wrestling industry forever”

“So Rip, do you know that you are the “Creator” that McWilliam is mentioning over and over?”

“No Chad, as you remember from the Malik vs. McWilliam match, and the light comes out, I was forced my Gregor to stand in the ring, and as the light comes back, you can see at my reaction that I have no idea why I am doing in there, and actually, It’s the first time I faced McWilliam”

“Well Rip, I would like to thank you for the time you gave us”

“No Problem Chad”

Screen fades and HPW logo shows up.

--Commercial Break—

John Slider vs. Nacido Libre Luchador

The music of John Slider hits and he makes his way through the curtains to a loud chorus of boos.  Slider has a sly smile on his face as he confidently makes his way down to the ring.  As he is stepping up the steel steps he winks cheekily at Doug Solomon.  Slider enters the ring and runs the ropes a few times to prepare himself in the last few seconds before his match.

The music of the masked luchador hits as the fans get to their feet, showing that they want Nacido to get his revenge here tonight.  The cheers soon evolve to pure confusion as there is no sign of the masked man.  The music hits again as he is introduced for the second time but once again Nacido is nowhere to be seen.  They try for a third time but with no luck.  The referee looks confused on what to do but Slider helps him out by forcing him to count to 10.

“ONNNNNEE

TWWWOOOO

THREEEEEEEE

FOUUURRRRRR

FIVEEEEEEEEEE

SIIIIXXXXXXXX

SEVEEEEEENNNN

EIGHHHHHHHHTT

NINEEEEEEEEEEE

TEEEEEEEENNNN!”

The bell rings and the referee raises the hand of John Slider who has a big smile on his face.  The fans boo heavily as Slider slips out of the ring and makes his way up the ramp.

Winner:  John Slider by forfeit, 0:10.

John Slider is met backstage by Illy Mustafa as he walks through the curtain, the two high five and congratulate each other on their big victories tonight.  They begin walking down the hall but quickly stop as the smiles quickly disappear.  The camera turns and zooms out to reveal Harrison Hughes standing in their path.

Hughes says that he applauds the two for their smarts tonight.  What they did to poor Julian Bosley was genius and something that he wished he would have thought of when he was wrestling.  His tone quickly changes as he mentions that what they did to Bosley is one thing but if he finds out that they have had something to do with Nacido going missing for the second time then there will be hell to pay.  He makes it clear that he doesn’t care about Nacido personally but tonight him not being here effected business and he will not have his business messed with.  He gives the two a final warning before walking away.

--Commercial Break—

When we return we are joined by the sight of Trent Malik backstage being interviewed by Keeley before his match which is just moments away.  Malik says that he knows he’s facing an Otis Jones that has something to prove but he isn’t the only one that has something to prove.  Tonight is just the first step in the journey of Trent Malik becoming the HPW world champi-

Before he can finish his sentence he is cut off by Micheal Bloodman who bursts on to the scene in hysterics much like last week.  Bloodman says “that was a good one” and continues to make fun of Malik believing he can become the world champion.  Bloodman hypes himself up by talking about his money and his power, promising that he is going to show the world that he is what he says he is tonight when he becomes the HPW world champion and shows the world he really is THE legend.  As he finishes Malik pulls out some athletic tape and forces Bloodman against the wall.  Malik holds the athletic tape to Bloodman’s throat, choking him.  He looks deep into his eyes as Bloodman’s laughing quickly evolves into fear.  Malik begins to laugh himself and then releases Bloodman as he walks away for his match.

Trent Malik vs. Otis Jones

Both men make their entrances and look determined to make an impact tonight.  They lock up in the middle of the ring as the bell goes with a collar-elbow tie up.  Jones quickly gets the advantage with a headlock but Malik counters by slipping out and getting one of his own.  The two exchange holds on their feet until Otis reverses a hammerlock with a variation of the drop toe hold to take Malik down to the mat.  With Malik down Jones begins to apply pressure to his arm and shoulder, attempting to soften him up for the crossface chicken wing.  Malik rolls out and makes it to his feet.  He irish whips Jones into the ropes and drops down to try and trip him, Jones runs over Malik but as he rebounds off the ropes he gets caught with a big dropkick to the jaw.  Malik attempts to capitalize but Jones kicks out after two.

Malik chooses to keep Jones on the ground showing he has no fear of his technical ability and begins to wrench on the neck of Jones.  Jones tries to spin out but Malik shows he is just as fast with his reaction.  He rides Jones’ momentum and then locks in a chinlock.  The two continue to battle out for supremacy in human chess style by exchanging holds until Otis decides to kick Malik hard in the chest.  Malik goes down for a moment but nips up and hits several forearms.  Malik sends Otis to the ropes but this time Otis puts on the brakes.  Malik charges at him but Otis changes levels and attempts to back body drop Malik out of the ring.  Malik uses the ropes and lands on the apron and then delivers a big headbutt sending Otis stumbling back.  Malik uses his high flying ability and hits a big springboard hurricanrana on Jones.

“ONNNNNNEE

TWWWWWOOO

THREEEEEEEEE-“

Otis shows his will to survive by getting his shoulder up.  Malik grabs the arm and forces Otis on all fours then rolls him up for another pin attempt but once again Otis kicks out.  He does this a few more times to try and tire Otis out and then decides to hit a dropkick to the head whilst Jones is grounded.  Malik forces Otis to his feet and throws him into the corner.  Malik charges and goes for a flying forearm smash but Jones moves out of the way.  As Malik stumbles back Otis hits a hard clubbing blow to the neck.  He grabs Malik and delivers a tiger driver to go for the victory.

“ONNNNNNNNEE

TWWWWOOOOO

THREEEEEEEEEE-“

Much like Jones Trent is able to kick out.  The two continue to battle back and forth for several minutes with Otis now becoming more aggressive on the attack on Malik’s shoulder.  He almost locks in the crossface chicken wing but Malik falls forward and causes Jones head to smash into the turnbuckle.  Malik quickly follows up with a big lariat that almost bends Jones body in half.  Malik forces Jones to his feet once more for the final blow and delivers the Midnight Malice.

“ONNNNNNNNEEE

TWWWWWWOOOO

THREEEEEEEEEEEE!”

The crowd cheers loudly as Malik is announced the victor, taking the next step in his goal of becoming the champion of the world.  The sponsored ad of Kenny Dior doing aerobics with Mr. Motivator plays just before we go to a commercial break, “With Mr. Motivator you too can be the world champion!”

Kenny Dior vs. Micheal Bloodman – HPW World Championship

Bloodman makes his entrance looking confident in himself and ignoring the jeers from the audience.  He stops in front of one elderly man that is giving him verbal abuse and makes the man jump by popping up his arm and flexing his bicep.  Micheal laughs at making the man flinch before continuing to make his way to the ring.  He does his usual pre-match poses to further get under the skin of the crowd before the music of Dior hits.

The champion makes his entrance to the new support of the crowd although there are still a few doubters that can still be heard.  Dior enters the ring as champion proudly and doesn’t look intimidated of Bloodman at all.  The two meet in the centre of the ring for a stare down as the referee goes through the rules for a final time.  When the referee tells the men to get back to their corners so he can start the match Bloodman shoves Dior causing him to fall to the canvas.  Bloodman laughs and the referee quickly starts the match.

Dior gets back to his feet and tries to take the powerhouse down but Bloodman tree trunk like legs prevent it, Bloodman hits a hard clubbing blow to the back which causes Dior to straighten up.  Bloodman forces Dior into the corner and hits him in the midsection with some shoulder attacks.  Dior catches him in the final one with a knee to the face that angers the big man.  As he stands up ready to unleash his fury on Dior, Dior jumps on him and begins to punch away at his head whilst clutching on with his other arm.  Bloodman throws him off and goes for a clothesline but Dior ducks under.  As Bloodman turns around he gets a dropkick to the knee that causes him to drop to the mat.  Dior bounces off the ropes and goes for a big crossbody to get Bloodman down completely but the unbelievable strength of Bloodman is shown as he catches Dior even on his knees.  Bloodman gets to his feet and nails a big backbreaker on Dior that almost cripples him.

Dior rolls to the outside to catch his breath but Bloodman follows him out.  Dior sees him in the corner of his eye and begins to quickly move away from him, running around the ring, Bloodman follows him but Dior rolls back into the ring.  As Bloodman rolls in Dior hits a big dropkick to the face forcing him back to the outside.  Dior fakes diving on top of Bloodman and then pulls himself underneath the rope to join Bloodman on the outside.  Bloodman throws his hand to nail Dior but he ducks under and sends Bloodman gut first into the apron.  Dior uses the apron to step up and nails a big enziguri on Bloodman that knocks the powerhouse down.  Dior slides into the ring and back out to break the referee’s count and then tries to pick Bloodman up to put him back in the ring.  Bloodman’s muscular frame is too heavy and it takes too much time which allows him to recover.  He nails Dior with a hard elbow and then throws Dior in the ring instead, knowing he can only capture the belt by pinfall or submission.

Dior tries to catch Bloodman as he is entering the ring again but this time is caught with a big spinebuster.

“ONNNNNNNNEE

TWWWWWOOOO

THREEEEEEEEEEE-!”

Dior gets his shoulder up which angers The Legend.  Bloodman continues to decimate Dior with power moves for the next several minutes.  He begins to destroy Dior so much that he begins to yell for Dior to verbally quit.  Dior refuses to give up and spits in the face of Bloodman who then hits a hard kick to the midsection.  Bloodman throws Dior in between his legs and then goes for the Bloodman Effect but on elevation Dior counters.  Bloodman turns to meet Dior but Dior throws his body down at the knees of Bloodman causing him to trip.  Dior begins to stomp, elbow, punch, and whatever he can at the legs of Bloodman.  Bloodman tries to shove him off but Dior is like an animal with tunnel vision.

Dior some how gets the texas cloverleaf on Micheal and sits back to make sure full pressure is applied.  Bloodman yells out in pain as the announcers note that this maybe the first time we have seen Bloodman in any kind of significant trouble.  Dior tries to keep the hold locked in but Bloodman’s rage becomes too much and he is able to power out.  Bloodman gets to his feet immediately to avoid any more damage to his legs and as Dior approaches him to stay on him he gets caught with another powerful kick to the midsection.

“BAM!  BLOODMAN EFFECT!”

“THERE IT IS!”

“THIS HAS GOT TO BE IT!”

“ONNNNNNNNNNNNNE

TWWWWWWWWOOOOO

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!-”

At the last millisecond Dior finds a way to roll his shoulder up.  Bloodman gets so frustrated that he begins to argue with the referee.  When Bloodman turns around he gets caught with a big enziguri causing him to fall into the corner.  Dior charges at Bloodman and nails a big running dropkick.  Dior’s determination is shown when he some how lifts Bloodman up on to his shoulders and delivers a fireman’s carry gut buster.  Dior follows up with a soccer kick to the face whilst Bloodman is on all fours.  Dior grabs Bloodman by the head and whilst Bloodman is on his knees Dior nails the KDT.

“THERE IT IS!”

“ONNNNNNNNNE

TWWWWWWWOO

THREEEEEEEEEE-!”

Some how Bloodman is able to shake off the effects of the combination of moves and gets his shoulder up.  Dior looks on in shock not knowing what else he can do to Bloodman to keep him down but then suddenly Illy Mustafa charges down the ramp.  Illy stops at the apron to make sure he has Dior’s attention allowing John Slider to enter the ring from the crowd much like he did earlier tonight and nails the KTFO.  The bell rings immediately as the referee calls for the disqualification.

“He just got Knocked The Fuck Out!”  Screams Doug Solomon as both Illy and Slider begin to put the boots to Dior now.  Unfortunately the angry Bloodman recovers and realizes that there is now no chance of him becoming the world champion because of the disqualification and chases Mustafa and Slider off.  The two make their way up the ramp as Bloodman grabs Dior and delivers the Bloodman Effect.  He stands above Dior’s body with a look of rage.  The referee is holding Dior’s belt ready to give it to him but Bloodman snatches it from him and walks out with it.  The crowd boos heavily and try to will Kenny to his feet as the show goes off the air.

Winner:  Kenny Dior by disqualification, 25:34.

Good show, this Mustafa/Slider partnership has become a force to be reckoned with very quickly.
