HPW under new management, World Title vacated
« on: July 07, 2009, 03:24:07 AM »

Following Sunday night's victory over Jimmy Duxen at HPW 5: Destiny Calls, Harrison Hughes has been reinstated as owner and chairman of Headline Pro Wrestling.

One of his first acts in charge was to place an ad for a more qualified secretary, replacing Keeley who will continue to fulfill her role as interviewer on HPW broadcasts. When presented with the news of her dismissal from the office, Keeley went on record to say, "YES! YES YES YES! THANK GOD, YES!"

Immediately after the live pay-per-view event, Jimmy Duxen was taken to a medical facility in Baltimore for tests on his injured shoulder. At this time, despite retaining a spot on the HPW roster for the next twelve months, it appears the former chairman will be out of action for several weeks to recuperate.

In response to this development, Harrison Hughes announced, "As proud as I would be to have Jimmy representing my company as champion, his medical condition will not allow regular defenses of that title in the coming weeks. Therefore it is with heavy heart that I am forced to vacate the World Championship, and assess Duxen's capability to be burdened with such responsibility in the future."

Plans to determine a new World Champion will be put into action this Sunday on HPW TV, as the new era begins under Harrison Hughes.
