According to Tokyo Sports, Akitoshi Saito's home has been attacked by wrestling fans and he is now on suicide watch after allegedly attempting to kill himself.

That sucks :(

Pictures from the public funeral, including Jinsei Shinzaki (formerly WWE's Hakushi) with Hayabusa, who knows all too well the risk of serious injury in a wrestling ring:

Dean Ayass's new report on The Sun's website talks of Misawa planning to retire several times before last weekend's tragedy, most recently telling his wife that he aimed to hang up the boots at the end of 2009.

Edit:

John Laurinitis is trying to use whatever push he has to get WWE involvement on the NOAH-New Japan-All Japan show at the Differ Ariake in July. Reportedly, the guys he has in mind for the trip are CM Punk and Evan Bourne, and judging by the fact WWE will be in Japan around the time the NOAH show is happening, it seems likely they let them work the show since it won't be seen in the States.

Probably my last self-reply, but I thought it worth posting:

Noah held an event in Tokyo yesterday for fans to say goodbye to Misawa. More than 10,000 people came. The queue was so long (2.4km) that people had to get off two train stations ahead.
