I think it's a close call with Elvis either way.

Dirty Diana should be higher than 50.

Edit:

Quote from: news.sky.com
The man behind the world's biggest online Michael Jackson fan club has said heartbroken followers of the star have committed suicide because of his death.

Gary Taylor, president and owner of MJJcommunity.com, said he understood the tragedies had mostly taken place outside of the UK but he believed one may have been British.

"I know there has been an increase, I now believe the figure is 12. I believe there may have been one Briton who has taken their life," he said.

"It is a serious situation that these people are going through but Michael Jackson would never want this. He would want them to live."

Jesse Jackson, a friend of the singer, has recorded a YouTube film on the site urging fans not to "self destruct".

He said: "This is a time when hearts are heavy. There is great pain but great cause to celebrate Michael's life.

"It made Michael happy saying 'We Are The World'. Don't self destruct.

"We fall down sometimes, we get back up. That's the right thing to do. In Michael's name let's live together as brothers and sisters and not die apart as fools."

MJJcommunity.com was formed 10 years ago by Mr Taylor, a London office manager, and has more than 14,000 online users and 30 staff worldwide.

He said the singer's death had left his fans on the forum "in a surreal place".

"They can't accept it, they feel in some sort of different reality," he said.

"I'm stunned that he's dead. One minute he is coming here for concerts and the next he is gone.

"I think the funeral will be where the reality kicks in that he is gone and won't be coming back, there will be a huge depression in the fan community when that happens."

Thousands of Michael Jackson fans are expected to gather for a vigil on July 13 at the O2 Arena where the star was due to perform.

They will assemble at Canary Wharf from 1pm before moving on to the 02 from 6pm.

I took a morbid look at the suicide-related thread on that site a few days ago, and there are some bizarre posts to say the least.

I am sick as well but I have a giant feeling that Michael has merged into my body as I am somehow full of energy and I feel like singing and dancing. But I can't. I'm fighting my body not to dance or sing.

So this "family friend" killed him.

I tried posting on The Sun earlier to rant how much they suck, but after writing it all out it said I needed to register and I couldn't be bothered. So I guess I'll just rant here instead. Yesterday the Sun posted "exclusive!!!!" autopsy reports that said he was bald, had only drugs in his stomach, bruises and was wearing a fake nose or something. It painted a pretty bad picture. But since then it's come out on other sites that this report is fake. So I figured maybe The Sun would post an update or at least just forget about it. But I go on today and their new headline is "JACKO SPENT 30,000 A MONTH ON DRUGS!!!" and in that article they mention their article yesterday with the autopsy stuff. Like they say "yesterday we exclusively revealed the extent of the damage to Jacko's body" or something. If you think about it, how would they get this report anyway. It'd have to come from the first autopsy, which I read was conducted under complete secrecy and with security and everything there so nothing leaked out and any pictures were stored securely or whatever. It couldn't have come from the 2nd autopsy because the family are still waiting for it to be finished, Joe Jackson said it in a press conference yesterday. And apart from that, on TMZ it has quotes from someone saying that police have taken out a couple of bags of stuff, including some drugs, "but it was by no means filled with drugs" - which to me sounds like they could have just emptied the medicine cabinet of any house in the UK and find a similar amount. But on The Sun it's like "police have seized BAGS of drugs from the star's home".

Only good thing the Sun has done since he died, like something that I think wasn't done to make them more money, is an interview with David Gest (and even that was pushed up into a little corner of the front page so they could make "WACKO JACKO 30,000 A MONTH ON DRUGS!!!" as big as possible). Anyway, in the interview Gest talks about the Michael he knew, and it seems much more realistic to me. He has specific memories instead of this bullshit coming out from the kid's nanny's saying the kids were terrified of him and he'd shout at them for singing his songs or whatever.

The media sucks.  :-/

The contrast between The Sun's wrestling coverage on their website, and everything else they've ever produced, is startling. Such a trashy, worthless excuse for a newspaper, even by tabloid standards.

Yeah I agree with you the media does sucks. The way it works is that we get this raw news feed called the wire or AP. Anyway, you have all this information that you sift through. A lot of stuff in it hasn't yet been proved, so most places don't run it, untill proven. Well some I'm afraid do.

I watched a bit of today's memorial from the Staples Centre. Very touching scenes at the end with his family.

Yeah it was an awesome show, start to finish. I almost cried for the first time when his daughter spoke at the end. And I think Shaheen did the UK proud with that song, even though he seemed drowned out sometimes by the backing singing and music.

It still don't feel "over" for me though. Still can't accept it.
