I watched FMJ about six years ago and hated it. Should I give it another go now that I'm all educated in fancy films and whatnot?

I watched 2001, I actually liked it. Starts slow and...well, everything is slow. But by the end I almost crapped myself. I was sitting curled in a ball sucking my thumb. When he saw himself but older in the space suit.  :shake: Was trippy.

Also watched Trainspotting finally, and thought it was awesome.

The last movie I saw in theaters was The Lovely Bones. A far cry from the book, but it was  a decent 'date movie' that I enjoyed more than expected.
I hate you, I'm dying for this to come out here but it keeps getting held back.

Okay, so I saw The Lovely Bones a couple of days ago now.. I enjoyed the movie, although it was quite different to the book.. elements were there, but it was all jumbled up and told slightly differently. I couldn't quite put my finger on what was different either.. and I wasn't keen on Mark Wahlberg, I think he relies too much on scowling as a way to show emotion.

2012

Pretty good. Sometimes I rate movies on how clever they are or how well they put together or the acting or directing or script... but sometimes I rate them on how they make me FEEL. And this one almost made me cry.   Sure, i'm a giant pussy, but still must have been doing something right.

Sound effects were good, but felt like they were showing them off, which they were, but they coulda been more subtle. The CGI was like another character in the film. Acting wasn't great, some were good though.

Was cheap thrills blockbuster.

Unbreakable

Was awesome, I suck at predicting the outcome of movies, I can never do it even if its really obvious, and I actually did it with this film so was a proud moment. Not that it's a stupid plot or anything, thought it was pretty clever, but the fact I worked out the ending a few seconds before it was revealed means I woulda liked it anyway.

Night Of The Living Dorks - Amazing movie very funny if you can get past the sync issue due to the movie having dubbed audio. Its has a great sense of humor and seemed to be quite original never taking itself serious. Always down for a comedy/horror about zombies.

Alice In Wonderland in 3D - I just got back from the staff charity viewing, and I was quite impressed I have to say. Although being a fan of pretty much everything Burton has done, going into AIW I wasn't too keen on the imagery I had seen. Watching it all in action though, it was brilliant and really brought the story to life the way it should be. The 3D I could give or take, not really fussed.. but the film in itself was very enjoyable.

I drove an hour to watch Avatar in 3D, only to find out that I guess my eyes are weird because when everyone was reaching out their hands trying to touch stuff right in front of their faces, or jumping back cause someone shot something at them, I was sitting there watching it all on a flat screen. Only one time this weird jelly fish actually came off the screen, and was cool. For the rest, I was concentrating more on trying to focus right to get 3D so missed most of the movie. It was weird, I could see depth inside the screen, and quality was amazing, but nothing came at me.

Film was pretty great though. Need to see it again in 2D I think so I can concentrate on the film and whatever, cause 3D version just made me feel like a freak.  :(

With Avatar nothing much does come out of the screen, it's all about the depth and clarity that you mentioned really.

The Godfather again.  Love these movies.  Love the christening scene.

Funnily enough I started watching The Godfather last night, I only got about an hour into it though as it was getting late and I needed some sleep. I watched Donnie Brasco beforehand however, and that got me in the mood for some more Al Pacino.

I watched half of Mean Girls last night. It's so freaking funny, Tina Fey is awesome and Lohan pre-slut days wasn't so much of a chore to watch either.

Alice In Wonderland in 3D - Decent enough I mean it was good I enjoy most of Burtons work minus Charlie And The Chocolate Factory other then they I think his work is amazing and this movie Alice seems perfect match for him and it was good but I think i would have rather seen American McGee's vision of the movie I think I would have enjoyed that more
