I saw Daredevil on DVD the other night. It pretty much explained why it hasn't received the fifteen sequel treatment of other superhero movies. Holy moly, the cliches just kept coming and coming. And the message left by his girlfriend on the answer machine has to be the worst voice acting I've heard outside of a videogame.

I liked a few things about it, like the effects used at certain points.. his vision for example, I liked the effects used there. But it definitely needs rebooting if they ever plan on continuing with Daredevil movies.

Yeah, those visual effects weren't bad. The fighting looked pretty awful though, specifically the wired trajectories.

It scared me when I was little too. Even though the kids were brats, I still didn't like seeing them dragged up through a pipe to their untold doom.

Mind you, I also managed to get frightened by an episode of Sooty & Sweep, so maybe your son and I are both just wusses.

Last King Of Scotland

Was pretty good, wasn't amazing but I wasn't waiting for it to end or anything. Good acting, interesting story, a huge fart, nothing to not like.

I just got back from watching Clash Of The Titans in 3D at a staff showing, and I have to say I really enjoyed it (seriously, work are making me say that). Okay, they're not forcing me, it was a genuinely good film. It had a lot of elements from the original with some slightly differing storyline branches/character rbackgrounds etc. updated graphics, pretty much all you could ask for. The 3D was wasted on it though, it didn't need to be in 3D, there were no stand out points where it added anything to the film.

All in all, a great film.. a solid 8/10.

The Godfather, 8/10. Was great. Hoping there was more action in it though. Great story. Don't think it's one of the greatest movies of all time. I prefer Scarface over this.

Kick-Ass was a great film, it wasn't what I expected really.. but then I didn't really have a clue what it was about. I was pleased though  :)

Avatar and The Hurt Locker.  The Hurt Locker was great.  Avatar was alright but I was bored in a lot of places.  It could have been the same movie if they cut it down to 2 hours since there really wasn't that much going on anyway.

JCVD and Looking For Eric.  Both good but Looking For Eric was best out of the two.  It's pretty great.

Just watched Repo Men and there were some great twists that I didn't see coming, along with a decent storyline and a couple of great actors. This film was win.
