Inception - It was literally mind blowing, a little like the Matrix but better because it was slightly more believable. WATCH IT!

Took your recommendation and I loved it.

  • Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and Crazy Heart.  Both good but I enjoyed the first better.  I've heard The Girl Who Played With Fire is disappointing so don't know if I'll bother with the other 2 movies.

  • Eden Lake, a part from typical horror stupidity it was pretty good.  Most of the cast is from This Is England.

  • I've just watched The Time Machine (1960 version), and it's much better than I remembered. I think I can just appreciate it more than when I was younger. I'm interested now to see the Samantha Mumba remake for comparison's sake, but I doubt it'll be as well acted or maintain as much social commentary. The Morlocks might be a little more convincing though.

  • I saw  Centurion. It isn't out in thearters yet, but one of my HD channels has a thing where they show a movie before it gets released one night only. I really liked it. If you liked Russel Crowe's Gladiator or the last King Arthur movie, you'll like Centurion.

  • I forgot I ever saw the remake of The Time Machine. If I remember correctly, I thought it was okay but nothing that great. I've never seen the original and I tend not to care much for flavor of the Victorian era, so take that for what you will...

I love me some Ancient Rome on the other hand, so I'll have to remember to see Centurion.

  • Very little of it's spent in his own time, so I wouldn't let that put you off.

  • Well it's not even stuff that takes place during the Victorian era but the general feel of how the authors presented their works from that era.

It's kind of hard to describe, but the entire film I saw just felt like it came from a story written in the Victorian era and that puts me off. :-/

  • That's not something I came away with, but then we are talking about two different versions.

  • I saw Men in Black II last night. It's a fun movie but the overall plot and Rosario Dawson's role are pretty weak.

I also watched Groundhog Day, but I'd seen that many times already...

This is the first time you've seen Men in Black II? What took you so long? Or maybe you saw it and got neuralised  :sly:

I saw the Social Network last weekend with some friends. I love David Fincher, so the movie already had that going for it. Plus, I'm a secret mark for Justin Timberlake in movies, as he only appears in films that are likely to be good. The movie itself was really interesting, and well written and acted. The only thing is, I kept asking myself how much more powerful a movie like this would have been if they had waited another five or ten years to make it, so we could have more of a resolution and see what kind of lasting power Facebook has in a world where new social networks are constantly coming to the forefront.
