Not the last movie that I saw, but I figured I would post it because Headliner reviewed it.
Terminator: Salvation is a disastrously awful movie whose belligerent lifelessness and foolishness can best be replicated by picking up a rock and smashing it against one’s temple repeatedly. Director McG jumped over a significant amount of time in the Terminator universe and left us in a destructive world full of mayhem and anarchy, but little-to-no story. The only saving grace in this film is the phenomenal performances by Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, and Anton Yelchin. 4/10
And before anybody jumps on me for 'hating' on summer blockbusters just because they're so mainstream, here's my Star Trek review from a few weeks ago:
Star Trek is a franchise often met with a certain stigma that would leave audience members feeling either alienated or accepted, but that is not a problem with this film. Star Trek is a breath of fresh air for this series and sets a new standard for summer hits, a standard that few can be compared to. The writing, directing, editing, effects, and acting are all top-notch. Mediocre, big-budget film makers such as McG and Michael Bay need to take notice – this is how summer blockbuster is done. 8/10
