I acknowledge upfront that this idea may achieve results or may not, but there's only one way to find out.
I'd like to invite volunteers to take on the role of "GM" (feel free to propose a better name) for each of the main wrestling brands and promotions. What the position entails, apart from a title under your username, is taking responsibility for the flow of discussion on that brand. So if for example you're the TNA GM, you'll want to make sure there's a thread for each Impact and PPV, and not letting overall discussion of the promotion die down completely.
This doesn't mean, at all, that no one else can start threads or promote discussion about a brand for fear of treading on the GM's toes. That's not the purpose here. It's simply to have someone who will lead by example and ensure there's always something to talk about regarding their brand, no matter who started the thread.
So if you're interested in helping the forum stay active this way, please let me know (either in this thread or by PM if you prefer) which promotions or brands you'd like to fly the flag for. It doesn't have to be your favorite, but certainly watching it on a regular basis would make the role easier.
Ideally I'd like to see a GM for each of the following:
RAW
SmackDown
ECW
TNA
ROH
I think those are the points of interest we can most realistically expect discussion to be built around, with encouragement from our GMs, but if you're passionate about leading the way with another promotion then please do come forward. There should be something for everyone who wants to volunteer.
