Abusive behavior (flaming) towards other members will not be tolerated, whether you consider it to be justified or not. If you believe someone has behaved aggressively towards you, please report the incident to a moderator or administrator - flaming back will only reflect badly on yourself.

Despite the fact that the rules of PWH are clear when it comes to flaming outside of the NHB forum, I wouldn't have touched your post if you hadn't have included a derogatory remark towards homosexuals. I can stand the flaming because, well, you're Illy and that's part of your charm, but I refuse to tolerate the bigotry (whether it was in jest or not) especially in a forum that isn't NHB.

We've let it slide, against our better judgment, but if members can't temper their usage of homophobic slurs then we have to do our jobs as forum moderators. Regular swearing, etc, go for your life, but language that carries more baggage than Mrs Illy's drawers shouldn't be tolerated on any reasonable, open minded forum. Or PWH.

How the hell is "gayboy" a homophobic slur?  Who is going to be offended by that?  I made sure it was purposely playground like so it was quite obvious I wasn't serious.  I wouldn't mind if he edited it because Mattress was a complete stranger because it could scare off a new member, but he isn't, and Hazzy definitely isn't.

It's ridiculous.  This is the kind of crap that changes a forum from being a fun, close community to well, crap.  I wouldn't be so annoyed if this was the first time he's edited one of my posts but it isn't.  He once edited one of my posts for repeating what Purps said to me back to him, and left Purps' post complete.  If one is flaming, then the other has to be because it was the same exact thing.

Maybe Gopher should try finding other ways to contribute to the forum rather than just pissing off members for something that was innocent.  "Gayboy", seriously?  All things you can take a stand on and try to prevent and this is what you choose?

I'm not going to change the way I talk to people I know because you're bored and can't find anything else to do as Super Mod or whatever you are.

I actually thought it was something else that got edited, but I believe it was more the straw that broke the camel's back than a singularly bad incident. People haven't been shy about throwing the word faggot around, and while we should have spoken up sooner, we kinda hoped they'd grow out of it.

That's entirely up to you. If the only way you can have fun on a forum is by slinging this stuff back and forth, then it's bound to change your experience. But other people manage to have a relaxed, laid back time of it without crossing the more offensive lines on a routine basis. I think you're better than that.

People who use the word 'faggot' as an insult are ignorant jackasses. I realize Illy said it a few posts ago, but that was just to prove a point. 

I see no problem with flaming (ironic word to use), but I also see where the line should be drawn. I personally don't see 'gayboy' as the place for the line, but 'faggot' is definitely an acceptable place to draw it in my opinion.
