The tracks to be performed are (not in show order)...

Alexandra Burke  Don't Stop The Music
                            Unbreak My Heart

JLS                       I'm Already There
                            Umbrella

Eoghan Quigg      Does Your Mother Know
                            Year 3000

Diana Vickers      Girlfriend
                            White Flag

Not sure about Eoghan's choices. I like that ABBA song but, theres a lot better songs he could've sung now theres no theme for the week.

Diana singing White Flag is about the best song choice she's had - Girlfriend...she could make or break her chances there, if she does good, suddenly everyone will be on her side again and being all in Louis' face like "TOLD YOU SHE COULD DO IT". But then, could fail.

OMG HEADY! JLS SINGING I'M ALREADY THERE!!

Alexandre doing Don't Break My Heart is a bit weird but maybe it'll work.

I'm predicting Diana to go out - I think if they perform I'm already there well, then it could put them through.

Omg

I had a weird premonition of Eoghan running on stage while Diana was singing, then it actually happened. Crazy. But great tv. Glad Eoghan is still in it, didn't think he was that great tonight, mainly from the second song, just cause...well, cause it was weird. And he was dancing like a raging faggot.

Looks like the winners single is Hallelujah (they didnt play any of it on Xtra factor, but they showed behind the scenes clips of them filming the video and it said on the cue card thing "Hallelujah, Take One" so...) Shame Diana went really, cause thats the best I heard her sing when she sang that. I think Eoghan will sing it well, JLS will be good, not sure if its the right song for Alexandre.

JLS were awesome tonight, if they do as good in the final then they could win. If anyone does awesome on the final then they could win it. Well close this year.

I don't think i'd take it too badly whoever won. Alex has won me over, Eoghan is still my favourite, but JLS have shown they still got it tonight so...

OH, I hate Il Divo, or used to, mainly cause of that one really tanned spanish guy with the annoying greasy hair...and i still hate him... but they were fucking amazing. And, little insight into my life, I turned it over in the break and there was a film on Sky Premiere - Amazing Grace.

Laura White was playing at my Uni last night. So its not the end of her career. Just her public career.

Yes, I'm gunna keep replying to myself until someone else replies.

Just finished watching it now. I don't really know what to say to tell the truth, probably the best show all series. Even though I never really liked Diana I thought she was great last night.

Final next week, I just don't see Eoghan winning to be honest. I reckon It's gonna be Alexandra.

It's not the right song for any of them. Stupid choice.

Needless to say, I'm so glad Diana's gone. By this stage, she could've pulled off the best performance in the competition and I'd still hate her. Same goes for Eoghan, but it's a safe bet that's never going to happen. Blubbering little Hobbit. He was masked yet again this week by his backing singers. Glad Simon basically turned his back on him later in the show.

I used to really like JLS but for a few weeks now they haven't been delivering to the same standard. This week they were better, but still not quite there. "I'm Already There" was always going to get a harsh judgment from me because of how angry I was at Westlife for stealing it with a weaker version than Lonestar, but JLS did okay with it in the short time they had. They shouldn't have just repeated the first verse in the BIG MOMENT section of the song though - they should have gone to the last verse, where "I'm your imaginary friend" is replaced by "And I'll be there to the end."

Speaking of lyrics, did Eoghan's script for "The Year 3000" differ from Busted's? I was always pretty sure it went "...granddaughter is pretty fine," but Eoghan was definitely singing "...granddaughter is doing fine." Pointless edit if that's the case.

Alexandra did well. She doesn't often spark much enthusiasm from me but she doesn't piss me off either. She's obviously the most talented left in the show. If it wasn't for the way she sounds when going for the deep or quiet notes, I'd be more keen for her to win. As it is, I'm torn between her and JLS.

Il Divo were fantastic.

Yeah I don't like Alex when she goes deep.

Its weird, I can't see any of them winning. I think Alexandre, but then I think Eoghan will get more votes. But then I think Eoghan will win, and I think Alexandre because maybe her dancing will put her through. But then I think maybe JLS will take it, but, they'd be the first group so I can't see it.

I can't see any of them losing either.

I'm gunna mark if Eoghan wins though. I might film it and put it on Youtube just so you can watch it Heady.

Oh yeah, and I noticed that change in the Busted song. But I wasn't sure if maybe he sang it right the first time, and then the second chorus is a bit different. Like maybe it's supposed to be that in the 2nd chorus. Would be a bit much if they censored him saying "granddaughter is pretty fine", or felt that was needed for some reason.

I've just checked the lyrics online and it's definitely meant to be "pretty fine."

But I guess the thought that your great-great-great-granddaughter "is doing fine" appeals to Eoghan's target audience of doting grandmothers. ;)

Incidentally, I love the fact that on The X Factor, "rockin' out" (:headbang:) means covering a Busted track. :D

In like an hours time they're gonna tell us the winner, can't wait.

Alexandra had great performances especially with Beyonce. I even thought Eoughan was great apart from his High School Musical song. JLS were good too, but I really wanna see the other guys get their chance to shine and not be back up singers.

Don't be getting carried away, Eoghan was a damp squib as always. Fuck's sake. He seems a nice enough kid but his undue success in the competition warrants derision.

Alexandra had three standout performances, and based on tonight deserves to win. Beyonce for her part was great too, which can't be taken for granted with celeb cameos. JLS were better than their recent form, but I'd still place them second. I noticed more stupid little changes to "I'm Already There," which wound me up to be honest.

If Eoghan wins I riot.

You're a big jerk Heady. *sticks tongue out* I dunno why you can't give Eoghan a little credit. He didn't have the vocals of Aston or Alexandre, but he could still sing. He didn't stand out in Boyzone, and judging from the fact we've never heard the bug-eyed one from JLS sing solo, he can probably sing better or as good as most of JLS. I think you've gone a bit overboard with your hate, like you did last year with Leon.

But Alexandre deserved to win. I don't think she's as amazing as everyone is making out, but she's good, she can sing and he version of the single was better. I think all three finalists will make a good career, and a few of the other finalists. On Xtra Factor btw, they revealed who won the live shows throughout this series. Diana won one, JLS one one, Alexandre won 2 (including tonight), and Eoghan won 6.

I'll definitely be...downloading... the single. *cough*

Wtf am I gunna do next Saturday...

Oh, and also, I think if they gave Eoghan better songs tonight he could've won it. He needed to prove he could sing, not do the cheesy high school musical route. Trying to pass him off as some kind of rockstar. Didn't work. Should've done that Take That song, or my favourite performance he did was in Mariah week.

He didn't stand out in Boyzone, and judging from the fact we've never heard the bug-eyed one from JLS sing solo, he can probably sing better or as good as most of JLS. I think you've gone a bit overboard with your hate, like you did last year with Leon.

The point you're missing is that I do give Eoghan credit for being good enough to reach the final 12. I've got no problem with him reaching the live shows, he's not a bad singer. But he just did not deserve to survive as long as he did, outlasting far, far better competition. As I said, he's a nice guy, but that kind of injustice will always draw resentment after a while. The same happens in wrestling. It's nothing personal, and it doesn't mean he's actually shit. It just raises the hackles to the point where comparison with the more worthy acts will be harsh.

Edit:

Since you've brought up Leon, my frustration last year was that he didn't win by being the best. Simple as that. People who voted for him were either tweenage girls who thought he was cute, people sympathetic of his sob story ("aww, the wee pet's doin' it fer his ma"), or Scottish viewers with a persecution complex, sucked in by the patriotic angle that was pushed so hard on the show. That's what I hated, not him as a person.

If you really want to tell me Leon's supporters believed in his musical ability, then explain to me these album sales:

Leon Jackson (released October 20 2008): 65,000 UK sales
Rhydian (released November 24 2008): over 156,000 UK sales

Where are all those admirers of his vocal talents rushing out to buy his CD? He's even had a single out to promote it, unlike Rhydian, and had over a month's head start.

But Rhydian didn't have the boyish charm, an embarrassingly limp sob story, or the backing of a nation (quite so) hell-bent on "sticking it to the English." All he had were people who liked his voice, and fortunately for him, they're the ones who stuck around after the show went off the air.

I do feel like Alexandra was shoved down our throats and they were trying their hardest to get us to vote for her, and rightly so she has the best voice.

I know, it's as if Simon felt the public needed a bit of handholding after last year's result. *cough*
