Here is where a lot of the audience get drawn in. The shows, the cartoons are what cement these characters in my generation. JLA, spiderman, batman, etc. That is where the audience comes from.

Quote
As though Loki and (possibly) the Skrulls aren't enough to keep the Avengers busy in the Joss Whedon-directed team-up film, they might have to deal with a second baddie.

According to the Latino Review, Thanos will appear as a villain in THE AVENGERS alongside Loki.

Marvel Studios didn't just pull Thanos out of a hat: you may recall that the Infinity Gauntlet was on display both in Odin's vault in THOR and at San Diego Comic-Con last year. Since Thanos once possessed the Cosmic Cube, which we saw in the end-credits scene of THOR, and Loki once possessed the Infinity Gems, the comic book connection is pretty strong.

Mmmmm...more or less yeah, except as far as I know, he's not a ruler of a planet like Darkseid.  He tends to be more nomadic.

"Picture a weasel -- and most of us can do that, for we have met that little demon of destruction, that small atom of insensate courage, that symbol of slaughter, sleeplessness, and tireless, incredible activity -- picture that scrap of demoniac fury, multiply that mite some fifty times, and you have the likeness of a Wolverine." Ernest Thompson Seton, 1909

Check out the bad editing though.. When the gif revolves around to Black Widow, Hulk is there in the background. Yet at the start when you see Hawkeye, given the proximity between them all, you should clearly be able to see Hulk slightly behind him, but you can't..

A good listener tries to understand what the other person is saying. In the end he may disagree sharply, but because he disagrees, he wants to know exactly what it is he is disagreeing with.

Ah, I see what you mean. From looking at it a couple of times now, it looks like Hawkeye was moving back the entire time while the camera was rotating, so it could be that in the initial shot where Hawkeye was standing, Hulk couldn't be seen.
