HPW: Resurrection
« on: August 08, 2008, 03:26:16 PM »

We're going to be bringing back HPW, that e-fed that Heady was doing that closed because he sucks or something.  We need to know who's interested in signing up so post here if you are.

Heady is going to be the booker, he's volunteered to give ideas for storylines, book the cards, judge the winners etc. and H-Man and I are going to be the ones writing the actual show.  We have no lives so we figure we'd be the best people for it, and there should be little delay in results being up or anything like that.

We've thought about the best schedule because we know how people can get burned out from rping and lose interest quickly if they have to do it every week, so to give you some idea of what it's going to be like:

Schedule
Week 1:  Normal Show
Week 2:  Normal Show
Week 3:  Week off.  You won't need to RP at all, and can use the time to gather ideas for next time.  We'll be doing a mini show ourselves.
Week 4:  Normal Show
Week 5:  Normal Show
Week 6:  Week off.
Week 7:  PPV
Week 8:  Fall out show.

Obviously there's going to be times when things come up and people aren't going to be able to RP, so if that ever happens just tell us and we'll work around it some how.

We'll also be implementing a wellness policy.  If you no show and do not RP, then we'll just make you look like a twat on the mini show, and make up stuff about your wrestler or something.

Also we'll be posting random news and rumours, and perhaps asking you to do interviews so the long stretches between the card being up, and the show results will still have something to keep things interesting.

On the first show we want to reference to past HPW shows since that already has a history, so if you'd like to just bring back your character from back then maybe Headliner will be able to do so.  I don't know if he has the folders set on invisible or deleted them or what but he'll tell us in this thread soon :)

So yeah, we just need people to say their interested and we can get things going with HPW again.

Everything from the old HPW is in the archives that you minimized as soon as they were made available. :p

I think this could be something great, if people get behind it and get involved with roleplaying. There are plenty of advantages to this setup over the original, from what little we already know. Many hands make light work, and Illy and Hazzy will bring a lot of creative ideas to keep the new HPW buzzing with things to see and do, if there's a demand for it - which is what this thread will determine.

Cause last time in HPW there were problems with judging roleplays, and some people thought they were being judged unfairly or something or were stuck with what to include in their roleplay, we've come up with a set of criteria that roleplays will be judged on.

So the areas you've gotta cover to have best chance of winning are:

1)  Creativity
2)  Hype - how well you hype the feud you're currently in, as well as the upcoming match on the shows/ppvs.
3)  Character Development - how your character changes and grows in your roleplays. Specifically character development relevant to and within the feud, because development for the sake of development prolly won't help you win the match, cause its pointless.
4)  Writing - your writing skill, which includes structure of the roleplay, grammar, spelling, dialogue etc. How well you write the roleplay basically.
5) Realism - basically how likely or true your roleplay is...so if you're out stargazing one night when suddenly you're abducted by aliens or something, you prolly wont score high in this area. Unless you do the "and it was all a dream..." ending, but then that'd just be lame.

Hopefully that makes sense.

Also, the schedule we're thinking of right now is 5 days for roleplaying and 2 days for us to judge, then write and post the show.

Also, reply if you're not interested so we're not sitting here like twats with our fingers crossed hoping the next person that views says they're in.

I'll replay just because you asked for it here: I'm not interested. :-/

Are there even enough people here to have a decent e-fed anyway?

A good listener tries to understand what the other person is saying. In the end he may disagree sharply, but because he disagrees, he wants to know exactly what it is he is disagreeing with.

I would be down as well, as I was dominating last time around until Heady asked me politely to drop the title so he could turn my character into the GM! :(

And from the looks of it, since we're still the only ones interested, we might not have the chance to ever go one on one. :(

I just don't think I'd have the time. So I'll say no at this time. I'm also not sure if there are enough active posters to warrent the return either. But, you could use it as a recruiting tool I guess.

If we get 4 people (so two more) then we'll start it up and me and Illy will roleplay as well as write the shows (yeah, thats how much free time we have). Just so we could get the show up and running, then hopefully others might join up too or will be able to decide better if they have the time etc. And then we'd be able to get some people from outside to join too cause we'd have something to show them, cause unless anyone knows people that would wanna roleplay and can get them here, I doubt we'll be able to get strangers to join on faith without something to show them.

If you do know anyone else that roleplays or might be interested, get them to sign up.
