Oh man, I know how that feels. I'm coming out of a situation similiar that.

I lost my best friend due to my stupidity and then the rest of my friendships kind of fell apart for one reason or another. People moved away or people I was just starting to get to know kind of fizzled out or I decided to separate myself from them or whatever. In other words, I'm pretty much alone right now.

That makes me sad...

It's not that bad, is it?

I've never seen real flatlands, either. All I've ever experienced in terms of natural environments is desert (the kind that is usually dry, but has been snowing a lot in the winters lately) and mountains and the stretches in between.

I'm not a palmtree-hugging hippy or anything, but I just can't imagine having never seen the ocean roll out in front of me or breathed the sea air. I guess the lucky thing about living on such a relatively small island as Britain is that you're never that far from the coast, even if you'd still have to make a vacation of it.

Maybe I just don't know what I'm missing then.

Then again, water kind of freaks me out so I'm not sure how much I'd enjoy seeing the ocean anyway. Looking out past the shore to see nothing but water? *shivers* That's kind of creepy.

I definitely couldn't see me actually getting in the water, at least nothing past say... mid-shin depth. Not just because I can't swim but because it's the ocean, man. There's all sorts of stuff swimming in there. :uhoh:

You get used to the sharks and the krakken after your first dip.

We're such unique and self-aware creatures, yet we can't be the paradigm or standard that goes above simply being an animal,we find ways to be worse than them.

Funny how when it's the poor that steal,it's theivery, but when it's the rich that commit the same atrocity on a much more massive level,it's business as usual.

Money makes the world go around...until it spins straight off of its own axis.

To theists, God is the clutch that sets everything into gear. To atheists, God is the imaginary crutch that sets everything into fear.

We're both devils. Wanna know which one you are?

Matter comes and writes the play, for it's a messed up ID. Forget the keys in your hand that lock up liberty for the benefit of divinity, for if not,you are not self, without anew to be.

Evangelicals and dominionists are somewhere in between nuts and asshole. They're perineum cancers. They're twernt tumors. Because if they twernt there, they wouldn't be a pain in America's ass. And they wish to wipe their excrement with the Constitution.

Civility and common sense are the first causalities to make room for large egos and larger wallets.

My friend soon going off into war,and only so little time to spend with him,due to bad timing. Doesn't seem like enough.

That sucks, but on the bright side, better to know than wonder.

Four fillings today (three injections) on the right side of my mouth. Two more fillings on the left next week. :shake:

It's bad enough not being able to feel one side of my mouth. Both at once and I'd be dribbling like an NBA All-Star.

That two of my better friends are leaving for new jobs (one had her final day today, the other put in her two weeks today) and those two are often the two people that make my work day tolerable.

I know I'll almost never seen one of them and the other I won't be seeing a lot of either. :(
