Just played Modern Warfare 2 expecting to find out why everyone loves it so much.

And it gave me motion sickness. Played for like an hour, if that, and feel sick as a dog.

I read that you should sit further back. The camera moves a lot in the game, and I was sitting on a beanbag directly in line with the tv about 4ft from it, so I'll try another time from a different position.

What system do you have it for?

Does the game have crosshairs? And if not, is there an option for adding them? I've heard they can help with motion sickness, as they provide a stable point of reference in the middle of the screen.

I used to get sick during first person games, but after a few hours on CoD I no longer have the problem.

I got it on PS3.

The first level was on a boat, and whole screen was rocking back and forth, and then the boat capsized and screen was going crazy as i was trying to run out of it and whatever. Think thats what caused it.

Btw, I only realised after I posted this that I have Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Not the new one. I had both on my rental list and they sent me the older one.

i used to get sick playing half life 2, probably the game is too fast for you, i dunno why but i played mw2 and i didnt feel sick

I don't have MW2 yet though, I'm playing from the first Modern Warfare now, then hopefully I get sent the new modern warfare and will be good enough to play that version online by then.

Dunno, can't you? Why wouldn't you be able to? Be shit if you couldn't.

Not sure, I remember with the first SVR game I played online you couldn't, and it was only North America. Thinking back, I don't remember hearing anyone with a British accent, or any other languages, while playing MW2, so it made me wonder.

Yeah some games have region restrictions on them, I heard it was to do with release dates or possibly to make it easier to police the online content from different countries.. 'cos certain countries are pretty strict with online stuff.

All I ever hear about Xbox Live from people in this country is how annoying American teenagers are, so region restrictions can't be that common, unfortunately.
