I'm preparing to play EWR for the first time in a long time (a year, I think).

Usually I'd create a regional or national level fed and go from there, but I'm going to start out small. Whatever the level is right above backyard is where I'm going. Oh, boy, is it going to suck. Especially since I won't know most of the names for people at that level.

I have been playing Grid, the best racing game i have ever played.
The different amounts of racing tracks and styles and cars are unbelievable.  The graphics are awesome and the car damage actually shows up in the right places, no getting side swiped and having it show up on the windshield.  The career mode is so much better than any gran turismo, or need for speed game.  All of the customizable content like your partner, branding, sponsors, but the best part of the game is the 24 hueres du mans a european endurance race at the end of every season, its a 24 hour race condensed down to 24 minutes, it really tests your driving skills, cause you get a certain amount of rewinds, where you can rewind time alittle bit if you crash or spinout, but it really is a fun racing experience.

So far I've had a quick go on a pair of DS games.

Bleach: The Blade of Fate was a highly recommended 2D beat 'em up, but on first impressions I don't think I'll be getting into it. I'm sure someone who studies the moves and takes the time to really appreciate the style of play could get a lot out of it, but it's a little too frantic for me while I'm flailing helplessly in a four-way melee.

Space Invaders Extreme was recommended as the best ever update of the 30-year-old arcade classic, and from what I've played so far, I have to agree. I'm not particularly a Space Invaders fan - it was a fine game, but never really held my attention - however this is a lot more fun. There are elements you'd more expect to see in a Breakout clone, such as bonus stages and various power-ups dropping from the aliens you've shot, and with the addition of boss battles it feels a lot like a regular 2D shooter like Gradius, while maintaining the SI basics. If you think there's any chance at all of you getting into Space Invaders, this is the version to check out.

Soul Bubbles came recommended by GameCentral on Teletext, which regularly champions lower profile games that deserve the success they won't get, like Okami and Global Defence Force. Once again they were right, as I suspected they would be with a game from the same people behind Little Big Adventure (anyone remember that?). If you're familiar with the bubbles in Super Mario Galaxy, you'll have an idea of what Soul Bubbles is like, though it expands/develops that concept to warrant a whole game on it. And refreshingly it doesn't take itself too seriously (see the opening disclaimer).

Just completed this (well, there was one collectable I couldn't figure out how to get on the last level).

Seriously, anyone who considers themselves even remotely a "hardcore gamer" and yet writes off the DS as a "casual" machine for kids is just, well, kidding themselves. Somehow, certain gamers have found a way to label this kind of innovation a bad thing. It just doesn't make sense. Innovation is, by definition, new gameplay experiences. If somebody wants to play the same rehashed FPS generation after generation, only with more shades of brown, that's as casual and softcore as I can imagine. Soul Bubbles is a revelation, an ingenius example of the fresh, challenging new enjoyment to be had on the DS.

This is one of those games you owe it to yourself to play, even if it means putting down Call of Honor Fortune for ten minutes and making bubbles, not war.

I actually played a game again today.. it's been about two months, I've just really not been in the mood at all. I put Hitman: Blood Money in and gave the level I was stuck on another whirl.. and in doing so I found a few new areas on the level, which allowed me to complete it after a few tries.. I didn't even do it how I was supposed to. I pretty much went in all guns blazing, and changed outfits a few times.. that was enough to kill the two targets and then escape with all my equipment.

I played and beat Super Star Wars.

Then I started Super Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back but got bored on the third stage. :-/

I'm probably just going to be starting up another KotOR run again within the next day. I never did get past the Sand People turrets.

Finally got back around to Phoenix Wright: Justice For All, picking it up shortly into what I think is the final case. And it's brilliant. The same so far, while decent, hadn't quite been living up to the first in the series - but now it's unputdownable. I daresay I'll have this finished and be ready for Trials and Tribulations in the next day or two.

Also gone back to New Super Mario Bros for those moments when I can't put as much time into playing. I find myself getting quite frustrated with it though, as I've never been comfortable using my thumb to hold/press both the run and jump buttons with precision timing, on this or any previous 2D Mario game. I'd rather be able to assign one action to the right shoulder button.

Started playing EWR again after WWE Smackdown vs. Raw became a chore. My stars got injured and the other promotions didn't... no matter what kind of matches they went through. I"m trying to find something a litte more current. Something with the brandsplit atleast. I know theres TEW, but I dont want to pay for it. I was hoping there was a patch or something.

I'm considering TEW 2008 its only 34 bucks...

I completed (well, reached the end via the bare minimum route) New Super Mario Bros this morning. I'm disappointed by the ending theme. Every other Mario game I've played to the end - Land, 64, Galaxy, even Kart 64 - have had really good, rewarding music or at least something about the closing credits that made it all worthwhile. This time though, it was just a mediocre remix of the traditional Mario tune, nothing to write home about at all.

Over the past two-three weeks I've been playing Hitman: Blood Money, getting all the achievements.. and a couple of days ago I finally reached 1,000 GP on it. After Hitman I moved onto GTA4, so I'm playing through that again now.. taking my time, I've managed to get used to the driving system, as long as I stick to certain cars

I've had COndemned since the same time I bought Hitman, which was months back.. I finally put that on the day before yesterday and I completed it last night. I liked the concept to it, but it was a bit repetitive really.. and got tedious after a while. I couldn't wait for it to end. All that I have left to do now is go and collect all the bird corpses and metal pieces for the achievements, and a few other achievements.. like completing the game using only melee weapons, etc.

I've been playing Gears of War ALOT lately and I've gotten quite good at it.. I met this guy who is like really experienced with the game and he taught me alot of things. and he has great leadership, and we might get getting a clan on the go, does anybody here play Gears? I'm in the mood for a 1v1 lol.

EDIT- We're thinking about getting the clan up by the time Gears of War 2 comes out. And apparently the gameplay is going to change alot, you're going to have to focus more on the Lancer, and there's new executions, gametypes, characters , etc.

So if anyone plays Gears message me or post in this thread.

All I've pretty much been playing lately is the demo for The Force Unleashed.

I can't get enough of it. It's like potato chips or a Villano V match - once I get a taste, I just want more and more and more.
