 Well done, Prevail With Honor, especially on that last round!

Commiserations to The Unusual Suspects (*cough*loozerz*cough*), and I think Lawman deserves credit for the effort he put in as team leader. He may have been the hardest working participant on either team from what I saw in the dugouts.

Unfortunately I think the contest overall was somewhat marred by the sluggishness of posts in the two debate rounds. Illy and I both hoped that the Olympics would be something the whole board could take an interest in, even as spectators, but when things ground to a halt it did become less exciting to follow. Maybe debates were too stressful a task for what was intended as a fun event. That's my only criticism but it's only from hindsight, as I didn't expect it to be a problem either - I thought they'd be a highlight of the games.

A special thanks to Illy for organizing all of this and putting in the hours to prepare, maintain and judge each round. I'll put a gold medal under the winners' names later today, which will appear with every post across the forums. The medals will remain until the next Olympics, which hopefully won't be as far away as 2008!

Yeah, I should of mentioned that as well.  Lawman did a hell of a lot of work in this, and for the most part did pretty much the whole work load for his side.  He did exactly what I said team captains should do before you voted for them, he tried to keep his team in shape and tried to get them all involved when they were slacking.  Good job man.

While I question his methods, Lawman did a heck of a job. I think the debate could have been real fun, but unfortunately, the summer is the worst time for most people online, it's when there's things to do outside and the weather is nice. Had it been winter and I was cramped in my dorm room procrastinating, I would have been all over the debate. So, I think it COULD work given the season and whatnot.

Hats of to Team PWH, you all deserve it for your efforts. We were doubted at first, but we showed that not only could we take this thing, but we could take it EASILY... good job, guys! I hope I did well enough as your captain.

Congrats to PWH. Good game boys and great effort by Lawman and Jbaeck, please don't trivialize his involvement. The guy put forth effort in each event. Those two were the team and deserve all the praise in the world.

HA! :cackle: HA! :cackle: HA! :cackle: So, what did I say ? No, tell me, what did I say ? I said that we'll easily defeat The Unusual Suspects, and BY GOD, WE DID IT!!!!!  :yay: :headbang: :dance1:

Moral of the story: Nver doubt what BL has to say.

Having said that, first of all, congrats to my team mates. They all made equal and significant contributions, with thye exception of KoK. I admit that I couldn't do as much as I'd have liked to do because of computer problems. The last round seemed pretty fun, but I can only blame my luck and my computer for that. But still, we won, my team backed my claims, and that's all that matters. :victory: CHEERS!

As for the losers, Lawman did a good job, and he deserves accolades for that. But still, you lost to us. It really feels good to beat you, Lawman, especially after what all you said. Look who's getting butt-fucked now, Lawman !  :naughty:

We? as far as i see you did pretty much fuck all, You and Prince Hero pretty much were non existant in the olympics,
But hey have your team celebration, your team beat my team.
Prince Hero Did fuck all for our team, you mouthed off once in the Debate and i suitably bitchslapped you
but sure BL, ride the coat-tails of people smarter than you, you may even convince a few others that you're not as stupid a pile of cowshit that we all know you are
when it comes to you and me, i'll always be better than you BL.

To those Who actually participated in the Olympics Prevail team, i tip my hat, well played
and to my team (minus prince Hero) great effort, and i offer a heart pat on the back for the effort

Prince Hero and Blue LightEning- wastes of fucking space!

Congratulations Prevail With Honor! :applaud: I musn't forget about The Unusual Suspects who should be equally commended with their efforts. You guys put on a hell of a performance, it's a shame there has to be a winner and a loser.

I also want to praise Headliner and especially Illusion for the handling of PWH Olympics. Despite the slow periods (which can't be helped) this has been really successful. This has been a treat from a spectator's perspective and I eagerly await the next PHW Olympics.

So there anything anybody didn't like then, I want to know what to improve for next time.  Like the competitions, which ones you think need some tweaking, or would you like one being removed completely next time?  If you didn't like something then say, so then I can make it better next time.  I want it to be better and different each time so people are enjoying it and not thinking "meh" at it, liek with that big brother thing that was done here once.

I don't know about Prince Hero, but I certainly wasn't non-existent in the Olympics. I know that, my team mates know that, as well as you know that. Yes, I couldn't contribute in the last two rounds because I was absent. But in all the earlier rounds, I contributed as much as I could, though it was overshadowed by more significant contibutions from my other team mates.

And as I'd always said, my team beat your team. This Olymics, as Sarah said, was good from a spectator's perspective partly because of the hype I built up for it. What all I said also built the confidence of my team. We became confident of beating you guys. I proved you wrong Lawman, and that's what that matters. My team backed up my words, your team didn't back yours.

As for you being better than me, that's nothing to be proud of, since you're 15 years older than me.

Anyways, you may be better than me, but only at making grossly incorrect and over-confident statements and not backing them up.

I don't care what you say about me. You could as well kiss my ass.

Anyways, replying to Illusion, I found these Olymipcs very enjoyable and a one-of-a-kind experience. Though it'd been better if I had been present more often, and each team had more members. I don't have any complaints with any of the competitions. Though in the debates, what can be done is that rather than having the entire team, or just one member to participate, we could give the responsibilty to carry on the debate to two or three members of each team. This way, if one member is absent for a while, the other member can carry on the debate. Also, this way, the debate would be able to proceed quicker as then every member won't be looking to his other team-mates to carry forward the debate. Other than that, I found the format of the Olymics just about perfect.

So, when are we gonna have the Olympix next time ?

Overall, I really liked the way you ran the Olympics Illy, and it was a lot of fun.

To change things up, how about next time we do it in pairs, or groups of three? This way it could be more like the Olympics, with groups taking 1st, 2nd, 3rd...and points adding up. The pairs could be chosen randomly, or people could pick whom they want to work with. Obviously, there would have to be some different set-ups for the debates, but otherwise, I think that it could work fairly well.
