Well I'm guessing you don't know that Ashley Cole was recently in the news alot and in the headlines of most tabloid newspapers, being accused of having a gay orgy and using mobile phones as a sex toy with a fellow footballer and a musician. It was annonymous, but somehow his name got pulled into it. I can understand why he wants to make sure the accusations stop, as he is trying to start a family (I think) and is either recently married, or soon to be married. Also, gay men in football really havn't had a good history. I think there were two players not too long ago that came out as being gay, and the crowd turned on them and taunted them, and they eventually killed themselves. I'm expecting people to chant something to him the next time he plays, but hopefully i'm wrong.
