Should I go back to RP rating?
« on: January 18, 2006, 10:12:54 PM »

Since I have arrived here at the forums, I rated RP's and I don't think they sat well with everyone here. Some appreciated the rates, others didn't. So I'm asking you all, do you want me to rate your RP's? If you do, say yes, if you don't simply say no, please. Thanks.

I still look forward to your ratings. I know I need and want help. I hope you wont be put off by a couple's distaste.

Well, sure, until I get a different character and start RPing with them again,I wouldn't mind your opinion. I know my last one sucked,so it wouldn't have pissed me off if you said that.

We're such unique and self-aware creatures, yet we can't be the paradigm or standard that goes above simply being an animal,we find ways to be worse than them.

Funny how when it's the poor that steal,it's theivery, but when it's the rich that commit the same atrocity on a much more massive level,it's business as usual.

Money makes the world go around...until it spins straight off of its own axis.

To theists, God is the clutch that sets everything into gear. To atheists, God is the imaginary crutch that sets everything into fear.

We're both devils. Wanna know which one you are?

Matter comes and writes the play, for it's a messed up ID. Forget the keys in your hand that lock up liberty for the benefit of divinity, for if not,you are not self, without anew to be.

Evangelicals and dominionists are somewhere in between nuts and asshole. They're perineum cancers. They're twernt tumors. Because if they twernt there, they wouldn't be a pain in America's ass. And they wish to wipe their excrement with the Constitution.

Civility and common sense are the first causalities to make room for large egos and larger wallets.

Bring on the victories!!!

Anyway, yeh, carry on rating them. I was disapointed you didn't rate my last one, but too late now I guess...Its good to get someone else's opinion on them, because in such a short time that we get to write them, we cant really sit back and really look at what we've written - we would need weeks to do that - so someone else reading it and looking at it from an impartial view is good.

Yes.

Wins and losses are normally based on the quality of your RPs.  If you create lackluster ones, you're not going to have a very good record.  That's why people are critiquing others' work - so they don't become the jobbers of HPW.

I'm thinking about joining this e-fed - I used to participate in them a while ago and it might be fun to start again.  I don't know, though.  I want to try a new character rather than Johnny J Shmoove.  I'll have to do some thinking.

As long as it's not Jack Tupp, a ripped street brawler from the streets of Mene Streatz, then I'm sure you'll do fine.

I appreciate the rates and critiques - keep them up, and anyone else who wants to rate me, go for it.

Perhaps when it comes to closing roleplaying, I'll only prevent new threads from being started, and allow replies to continue during the week.

Why not just start a thread every week for people to say what they want about everyone's RPs?

That's an option too, and I think TheGopher started doing that. But the comments would have more context if the actual roleplay was in the same thread. What do you think?

Close making new threads but allow replies. Faster, more efficient. I think one thread will become cluttered and confused.
